This wonderful, spacious semi-detached holiday home is situated in the heart of Somerset, six miles from Yeovil, on the outskirts of Queen Camel village. The property offers ground floor accommodation, including three bedrooms; a master double with en-suite shower, a second double room, a twin and a family bathroom. There is an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining table, sitting area and bi-fold doors. Outside is off road parking, a lawned garden with patio and furniture taking in the views, and the amenities of Queen Camel are just 10 minutes away on foot. A wonderful holiday base for friends and families exploring Somerset! All ground floor. Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x king-size double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Utility.

Area
Named after the nearby River Cam and Queen Margaret of France, the pretty village of Queen Camel is well served by local shops and pubs. It is just six miles from the market town of Yeovil and the historic town of Sherborne, home to the castle built by Sir Walter Raleigh. The surrounding area abounds in historical interest and is probably most well known for nearby Cadbury Castle, an ancient hill fort thought to be the site of King Arthur's Camelot! A great place to relax and explore.

Somerset offers 3 areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Quantock, Mendip and Blackdown Hills. Lose yourself in the glory of nature, take a ride on a steam train, visit a traditional farmers' market or explore your mystical side at Glastonbury.

The cottage was very clean had everything we wanted for our holiday.. The beds were very comfortable. The bed linen and towels were of very good quality. In the kitchen there was more than enough of the plates, bowls and mugs. The frying pan was a bit big than the electric hob it should be one size small. In the master bedroom there should be a window because at night it was quite warm. The veiw from the cottage was just too good. Watching the calves while having our breakfast just made our day. Had a very pleasant stay. Will come back again.

Although the property was well equipped and well furnished it did not have a homely feel.. It had fantastic bi-fold doors in the living space and master bedroom however we were unable to derive any benefit from these despite the fantastic weather. Each afternoon/evening we were inundated with flies so were forced to keep the doors and windows closed which resulted in the accommodation becoming extremely hot and especially uncomfortable for sleeping. We would have benefited from fly screens, fans in each room or preferably air conditioning. The accommodation was advertised as having a patio with views. The view consisted of a cow field which was immediately behind and to the right of the property.

This was our second time at Rectory Farm, this time staying in Rectory Farm View.. As before, the property is very well equipped, immaculately clean with beautiful views and it is well located to explore the area as it is only one mile from A303.

Rectory Farm View is a lovely newly built and well presented property.. The owners live just around the corner and were very welcoming, even adding some fizz as a welcome present which was a very nice touch. In terms of presentation, cleanliness facilities and appointment it has to be one of the best holiday cottages that we have stayed in. On top of this it was easy to get to from the main route down to the West Country and well located for visits to lovely venues such as, Sherborne, Lyme Regis, Wells, Cheddar etc...... All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and love this part of the country

Rectory Farm View exceeded my expectations of a holiday apartment.. The rooms were well furnished, spacious and clean - lovely feel to the property which is on the edge of Queen Camel. Location was perfect for visiting many places of interest both in Somerset and Dorset. Peaceful and relaxing- had a great time.
