Situated in the unspoilt western Finistère, the local beaches are magnificent, and boast many excellent watersport activities. Close by is the beautiful Crozon peninsula, with picturesque ports and imposing cliffs with unparalleled views. Menez Hom is also close by, a large hill which serves as a launch point for hang gliding and paragliding. Locronan, a heritage village famous for its cobbled streets, craft shops and weaving techniques is a short drive away, as is St Anne de Palud, which has one of the most important Breton religious 'Pardons' of the summer. The regional capital of Quimper, with its picturesque riverside setting, world famous pottery, half-timbered buildings and elegant shops and cafes, is also within easy reach for an afternoon visit.
