The village has a local well-stocked shop and a pub, while it is just an easy drive away from the livelier surfing spot of Newquay, with the renowned Fistral Beach, Blue Reef Aquarium and Newquay Zoo, as well as easy access from the cottage to the wonderful South West Coast Path.
