Holiday Rental Description

Holiday home
The Snug is a romantic bolt-hole close to Cornwall’s Riviera coastline, beaches galore and miles of stunning coast path. Adjoining the charming owners home is your private sanctuary for two, situated in the heart of the pretty village of Grampound which lies on the edge of the Roseland Peninsula, a designated part of Cornwall's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Arranged over two floors, the entrance is onto a kitchen dining room which is totally en-trend. A door leads from the kitchen dining room to a quietly elegant master bedroom with a king size bed dressed in soft bed linens, good art, gorgeous prints and a swish en-suite bathroom. The Moroccan inspired theme extends to a patio with mellow countryside views, exotic plants and garden furniture for alfresco meals and romantic sundowners. Climb the staircase from the kitchen dining room to an intimate sitting room set beneath the eaves with a large corner settee to kick back and relax. There is off road parking for one car. The Snug is the perfect couples retreat for breaks at any time of year.

The infamous Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are within a short drive and for a more active break, there is Pentewen Cycle Trail and Porthpean Golf Course. A visit to the exclusive waterfront village of St Mawes and the harbor town of Fowey with their excellent range of pubs and foodie restaurants are highly recommended.

The Snug is in a great location convenient to all sides of Cornwall.. Clare, the owner, is a superb host and couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommended!

The Snug is a delightful property and a wonderful base for exploring.. A lovely place to return to relax after a day's walking and exploring. The owners were very welcoming and hospitable and on hand if we needed anything. We didn't, as they had already thought of everything you could possibly want. And a super welcome hamper on arrival - we felt spoilt from start to finish!

Myself and my husband booked a last minute escape to the Snug in August and what a lovely stay it was, Clare and Dean have thought of everything you could need, we arrived to an extensive welcome hamper full of lovely treats and items such as bread. milk and eggs in the fridge and even wine and home made scones! The amenities are to the highest standard and so is the decor, the owners have really put some effort into the place making it cosy but stylish. the bed was super comfy and it was great having the patio doors open in the mornings looking out onto the fields. The location is perfect for exploring Cornwall and Clare and Dean have lots of great advice on where to go and good restaurants. We also had the pleasure of having a fire pit evening in the owners garden, this really was special and something i would recommend to anyone staying at the snug, Will definitely be booking again!

It's nice when you rent a Holiday Property and when you walk through the door it's a WOW.. A lovely property, with everything that we needed, not to mention the Goodies Hamper. The owners made sure that we had everything that we needed for our stay, and had been in contact from the time we made the booking. We wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

We had a lovely time here.. Clare and Dean are very welcoming and have thought of everything one could need on their holidays (even bath robes). The welcome basket with local food (incl bread and Ale) was amazing (also, Clare bakes super-tasty scones). Lots of opportunities to get involved with local community life - the area itself is beautiful and great for kayaking. Would definitely recommend.

We had an absolutely perfect stay at the Tremethick Snug at Easter earlier this year (2018). We stayed for a week and loved every minute. Clare and Dean were so kind and welcoming, with a lovely hamper of goodies which was much appreciated after our 8 hour journey from Cambridgeshire. We even had some Easter treats left and fresh scones brought round. The Snug is finished to an exceptional standard (I found myself stealing ideas for our own home!) and was so comfortable, with everything you could need - including a lovely retro scrabble set which we enjoyed. My partner, John, is getting quite into his home brew and when we discovered that Dean has a micro-brewery on site John was itching for a look around, which was offered and delivered (he's taken some ideas hone too!). Grampound itself is lovely, we visited the local pub and went to a craft market at the village hall. It's also an ideal location for attractions nearby if you have a car - we visited The Lost Gardens of Heligan (a must see!) and The Eden Progect as well as various nearby towns, beaches and country pubs. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come here again. Not a single complaint.

The cottage was beautiful and certainly exceeded our expectations.. The welcome hamper was most appreciated as was the bottle of champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary while we were there. Everything we could possibly need was available in the cottage and it had a warm welcoming appeal as soon as we arrived. We would definitely love to stay there again and would recommend to friends. Not many places to stay where animals are excluded and as I have a severe asthmatic allergy to dogs, cats and horses it is great to find such a lovely oasis to stay.

Loved, loved, loved this cottage! Clare and Dean have gone out of their way to make the Snug a home from home, everything is extremely well thought out and we didn’t want for anything. From the welcome hamper, home made scones, very locally produced beer (next door!), to the toiletries, walking books, information leaflets, everything was there. The upstairs lounge is gorgeous; you can lounge on the settee and see the moon through the skylight in the evening, or sit at the desk downloading photos from the day (as my husband did). The bed is comfy, the walk-in shower is great, well, everything was great, and next time we visit Cornwall this is where we are going to stay.
