Lovely little cottage overlooking the harbour and a view of the sea at the back of the house.. So peaceful, a proper get away from it all break. Close to the pub and cafe and a couple of walks from the door. Highly recommended visiting Wigtown, great for book shops. Galloway House and Gardens for a wander, lovely beach that is really quiet.

The Pink House is a lovely cottage.. The views from the front and back were fantastic. Very spacious. The Steam Packet pub is very welcoming and food is amazing. However cottage does need a few tweaks. Shower needs replacing as the water just trickles out. The settee has seen better days very worn.

Positives:- Great location and sea views.. Close to pub. Comfy bed. Woodburning stove. Negatives:- Bathroom heater not working. Feeble electric shower. Storage heaters not great (apart from main bedroom) - it was a cold / windy week.

We had a great week staying in the pink house, very comfortable with every thing you need for your stay.. The patio garden was secure for our dog . Lovely village with fantastic views. the steam packet pub has good food and friendly staff. There's a nice tearoom with a shop that sells gifts and basic food . If your looking for a quiet holiday this is for you, but we also had some lovely days out in the surrounding area you just have to travel.

It's the second holiday we have enjoyed at The Pink House, and it was just as good this time as last time.. Wonderful location by the side of the harbour and when the tide is high and the winds blow, as it did on two days, it is great to watch the waves flipping over the garden wall. A lovely place, made even better by the owner who lives close by. She is a great girl! A bonus for us this time was seeing two Eagles not far from the village.

April 2019
We had a wonderful holiday.. The cottage has glorious views to the front over the harbour and the back garden over the sea. The tide comes right up to the garden wall so very exciting on a windy day. The pub is just a few steps away and serves delicious food. On arrival the owner had left a delicious cream tea which was very welcome after our long journey. The wood burner keeps the sitting room very cosy but it uses a lot of fuel.

Beautiful location, excellent views of harbour from front and Irish Sea lapping the garden wall at the rear, fascinating scenery, good walks and a handy pub, village hall had a cafe, post office and small shop too..

March 2019
The cottage was warm and comfortable.. The views are amazing from the front of the cottage and back. The people are really friendly and Lyn had left us a loverly cream tea on arrival. Local pub made us feel very welcome and the little church was very interesting with a lot of interesting history about the Isle of Whithorn. If you go stock up with supplies as nearest supermarket is about 20 miles away! Another downside was we had to come home! If you need to get away book The Pink House.
Mrs McKinley, March 2019

We enjoyed the excellent location and the comfort and facilities of The Pink House.. Also the proximity to the excellent local pub The Steam Packet which was very friendly with excellent food at reasonable prices. The pub is run by Alastair and they have their own brewery and very friendly efficient staff.

Lyn Kultur the owner of pink house is so very helpful and very thoughtful.. In our arrival there were scones cream and jam set out for us. On the kitchen table, oh and they were gorgeous. A wonderful holiday and we plan on repeating the experience later this year.

Beautiful Cottage on the Isle of Whithorn, Clean spacious and cosy with a lovely log burner stove, well provided kitchen, nice bathroom and plenty of hot water. We stayed for a relaxing week to relax and chill out in Jan 2019 after a particularly busy and stressful time in our lives the Pink House couldn't have been better and we enjoyed a fantastic week in the SW of Scotland, the Isle is a fairly narrow spit of Land with a Harbour at the end, all the locals were very friendly and welcoming, great community centre/cafe and the local Steam Packet Inn serves great food. Lyn the owner was very welcoming and helpful and we were greeted with home made fresh cream scones. Would definitely return and wholly recommend for a quiet relaxing stay in this lovely Cottage
Mrs Walters, February 2019

Fantastic setting and brilliant views.. Cosy and warm cottage with all amenities. Lovely welcome with card and fresh cream scones. Quiet in the winter with many local tourist attractions closed but great pub with lovely food and small shop and coffee house within 50 yards. Very relaxing, everyone very friendly.
Mrs Hornsby, January 2019

Only gripe is that he pop ups that tell you somebody has just booked a holiday are very annoying and get in the way.. The Pink House was just lovely. We stayed over Christmas week and not only was there a cream tea, but also bottles of wine and small presents. Really lovely quiet area and cosy cottage. Go see the sunset from Monreith beach !

We have had a lovely 5 days in the Isle of Whithorn with pretty perfect weather as well.. The Pink House is a lovely little cottage right on the quayside overlooking the harbour to the front and along the coast to the rear. Fabulous views. Lyn, the owner, was on hand when we arrived and very friendly and helpful. The scones, cream and jam on arrival were delicious and welcome. The accommodation was very clean and is an ideal base to explore the Whithorn peninsula. My only comment regarding the house is that there is no WiFi. Not a massive problem but slightly inconvenient as there is variable phone coverage in the area. I would definitely recommend a visit to the Pink House and the Isle of Whithorn.
Mr Humphries, July 2018

April 2018
This is a lovely comfortable cottage in a great location.. We had a restful (?) week there which started with cream tea waiting for us in the dining kitchen. The weather was not brilliant, but this is Scotland, so log fires in the evening were a must. Not a hardship though. The views from the cottage itself are almost enough to make you stay indoors all the time, but the walks locally are easy and quite spectacular. The owner is so helpful, it was almost a pleasure to find something wrong, but we didn't find anything wrong. The cottage is well equipped and well situated at the corner of the harbour, making being nosey an easy pasttime. The owner lives locally, and was there if we needed her, which we didn't. Sad to go and leave the place, so much so that our dog sulked on arriving home. Loking forward to our next visit. This is one of those places you wish you had found years ago.

We had a lovely relaxing week at this cottage.. Upon arrival the cottage was clean and welcoming with the key holder leaving us some home baked scones, jam and cream. The views from the cottage at front and back were fantastic and the local pub was very friendly although due to it being so busy we would recommend you book in at the restaurant. We will be back.

The house is situated on the Isle of Whithorn harbour front. Uninterrupted views over the harbour at the front and views overlooking a small bay at the back. The house is well appointed, clean and tidy, really a home from home. The owner is most welcoming as can be seen from the comments in the guest book. We arrived for a weeks stay, to find a cream tea laid out for us. A wonderful touch and most welcome after a long drive from the Midlands.
Mr Burton, March 2018
February 2018

Had a lovely relaxing stay in the pink house.. . the only issue we had was the unavailability of the WI-FI. In future it would have been helpful to have a more stable and secure network.

Got back on Saturday after an amazing week stay in this beautiful cottage.. Outstanding views both at the front and rear of the property. It was delightful to sit in bed with a pot of tea, looking out at the beautiful scenery. The cottage has everything you need for a home from home and was spotless! We was welcomed with a delicious cream tea! The wood fire was especially nice to cosy upto in the evening. A short walk, is a quaint pub, friendly staff, fabulous meals and real ale....more of skip and a jump rather than a walk. In the village is a lovely cafe with a shop on site for those essentials and they serve a scottish breakfast. Great for those who like to holiday with their pets and everywhere caters for dogs and children. A delightful walk at the back of the fishing harbour was St Ninians Chapel in the wonderful countryside and by the sea and not far is St Ninians Cave. Lots to do nearby, but a car is essential. Great if you want peace and quiet and leisurely walks. Excellent value for money....have been recommending to everyone I know!!!
