So Clean! We stayed with two dogs and a parrot. Accomodation obviously capable of taking bigger families. Part of a courtyard of 4 other similar properties, with enclosed off road parking and 6 (yes 6) EV recharge points! Each cottage has a small enclosed grassy area around the main grass quadrangle. EV points by PodPoint - text owner to get put on the user list. Scale of rooms is large, kitchen well equipped with Neff appliances, good selection of utensils and crocks, good size fridge freezer, microwave, 4 slice toaster kettle etc. Nice little woodburner (prop the door open to get it to draw) and large basket of wood. Bedrooms and showers of similar high standard. The cleaning staff take pride in their work! There is a large 'communal' games room next to the Old Cart Shed (within the quad) which is kitted out with a bar billiards table, full size table tennis and air hockey as well as copious toddler toys, There is a bridleway across the road from the property, the area is very quiet at night (some road noise during day), countryside is open rolling farmland and woodland. Winterborne Stickland boasts a pub/restaurant (dogs in the public bar), the area has several other well recommended country pubs. We used it as a base for exploring in the Dorset area. A fair way from the coast (30mins+), but central for everywhere, and the rolling Dorset countryside is spectacular.

Ideal place to stay if you love countryside,1st time in dorset and really loved it.. The cottage is about 20-30 mins drive away to any of the coastal places(durdle door, poole,Bournemouth but we enjoyed it.The cottage was well equipped with all mod-cons,comfortable beds but the pillows were a bit hard.I would recommend this place,we had a lovely time.

The accommodation was exactly as had been described.. Quiet, clean, spacious and light and airy. It was unfortunate that the games room was closed, although we had been warned that this was the case.

A home away from home.. .. A very clean and comfortable self-catering accommodation consisting of spacious bedrooms and living area. Our children really enjoyed spending time in the games room too, which was a bonus. A great location for our holiday with all the places we visited being under an hours drive away. We would definitely come back when we next come to Dorset. Thank you.

This is one of our best holidays till date.. The cottage was beautiful and very very clean. Superb location, relaxing and calm. The property manager was very polite and our kids thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, it is my 10 year old son who wanted me to write a review definitely as he thoroughly enjoyed it. I will fully recommend this cottage to anyone as we enjoyed everything about it.

So pleased we chose The Old Cart Shed, it was perfect.. Was bigger than we expected and was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was very well equipped and the games room next door was an added bonus. Will definitely be recommending to my friends.

We where a bit disappointed that nothing was said to us about there being two steps between the living and sleeping areas, or that there were ramps available to us on these steps.. I had to take my wife out the front door across grass and into our bedroom via french doors at night and in the morning . otherwise the cottage was very good. We also felt it would be good idea to have some grab rails over the bath, as this would help older people not to have a fall. We would like these facts brought to the attention of the owners.

For us the warped gate, which was difficult to close, was a problem as we had a toddler so needed to keep it closed.. The 4 year old couldn’t open it from outside either when he visited his cousins in the Old Stables. The children loved the barn and it was nice to borrow toys when something was being made or played with but it was dinner time. Being picky- a fly screen would be good at the door!

We had a brilliant break and the accommodation is so well equipped that our family that live locally were able to visit and there was enough space for us all to get together for a pre-christmas catch up.. Thank you for the amazing little touches as well the Christmas tree, mince pies and logs for the fire were lovely.

Perfect holiday for us as we have young children and not having to worry about stairgates is a plus as well as having an enclosed garden for the children to run around is great..

Super accommodation. Extremely well equipped and the fenced off garden made it very easy with the dog, meaning we could truly relax. A good location to explore the beautiful county of Dorset.

We absolutely loved the place! It was far enough away from everywhere so it was quiet but still close enough to all the main places we wanted to visit. The accommodation was everything we wanted and then some! We would definitely come back!

Liked the spaciousness of the barn (the brochure did not do it justice), the nice roomy bedrooms and the wow factor when you first entered the barn. The pool and table tennis tables in the games room kept our 15 year old grandsons busy most days.

Lovely bright, clean accommodation with ample car parking. The games room was ideal for the children and for the men in the evenings. Fairly central Dorset location so not too far from attractions.

The house was spacious and furnished/designed in a very practical way - we loved having lots of wardrobe and drawer space. We greatly enjoyed the walks going directly from the front door. It was the perfect place for a family Christmas.

A family holiday to Dorset with Grandparents, parents a child under 5 & a dog Our stay at the Old Cart Shed surpassed all expectations, we were over the moon with the standard of the cottage, it's location and the local pubs & restaurants (as recommended by the welcome folder in the cottage) The rooms were great sizes (much bigger than we had expected) the beds comfortable, good quality towels in the bathrooms, the living room furniture was cosy & spacious and the quality of the kitchen ware was excellent! We were also very lucky to have such lovely "neighbours" during our week's holiday and fantastic weather - ice-creams on the beach in the sun on the 1st of October!!! We will definitely being booking to stay here again - thoroughly recommended especially for those of you with dogs looking for a good quality holiday

Spacious, excellently furnished barn conversion in a peaceful location but within easy access to the coast. We have already booked again for next year. The games room was most definitely an added bonus and my family enjoyed playing pool, table tennis, air hockey and table football. We are already recommending this property to friends and acquaintances. Thank you to the owner and her team for giving us a holiday to remember!

I was particularly impressed with the amount of space in the cottage, as the pictures on the website did not do it justice! The overall quality of the place was excellent, even down to towels and bedding. The games room was a great hit with us and the kids! The pint of milk and welcome cake were a lovely touch. We will definitely be recommending!
