It is a wonderful cottage to stay in if you enjoy the water: the birds, the ebb & flow of the tides, the proximity of the river for launching any size boat (there is a full launching facility should you choose it).. It is also extremely quiet & peaceful. There is the occasional walker with dog alongside the river when the tide is low; otherwise, you are all to yourselves. Strong recommendation!

It is difficult to express in words the amazing peace and tranquility of the boat house and it’s constantly changing location .. ...The river is so beautiful,it is surrounded by trees and full of birds ....The tide turns over and over again making a constantly changing vista....you are nowhere near any roads and the peace is wonderful .....We had a great time ....walks galore ....and lots of coffees outside listening to the receding water....Lovely cosy cottage with several window seats and pretty private garden ....We will be back .....in fact I think I may book now with my voucher ....Thank you Sykes

This is our second time at this delightful venue at St Winnow.. For us it is a piece of paradise as the cottage is set in the most beautiful setting and is extremely well appointed. The owners are always helpful and caring of their tenants. Nothing is too much trouble. It is wonderful, after having undergone a long journey to get there, to be met with flowers and a cake. It is a very tranquil and private place. Sitting in the window watching the tide go in and out and seeing the visiting birds, listening to the geese is a very lovely experience. Sitting in the garden in the sunshine is also beautiful in the outlook. The house was impeccably clean and welcoming. the beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. We hope to return to this very special place.

Our holiday at The Boat House was idyllic and peaceful.. It is a beautiful setting and whilst feeling away from it all is close enough to amenities. Lovely hosts too. Plan to return.

The Boat House is in an incredibly special place.. It takes a couple of days to realise how peaceful and beautiful the Hamlet of St Winnow is. The owners were perfect hosts and I really don’t have anything negative to say.
