One could spend all day watching the birds in the wonderful garden; mind you they'd usually got through the content of their feeder by supper time.. It was a real bonus finding we were within a short walk of the Eden project, but then the cottage had once been the home of the clay workers there.

Such a quirky little cottage in the woods! Really off the beaten track and very peaceful. If you enjoy bird watching this is definitely the place for you! I have never seen so many birds crowd a single feeder, and a wonderful variety of species. Par is close by with its glorious dog friendly beach, and you must have a carvery at the Ship Inn! A lovely relaxing break.

This property is a credit to the owners.. Pictures do not do it justice. The garden is wonderful . The Guest Book is very informative and maps , guide books are all at hand . This was a truly amazing place and we'd like to thank Angela and Glyn.

I WOULD NOT HAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO TELL YOU EVERYTHING.. SUFFICE TO SAY, THE HOLIDAY WAS ONE OF THE BEST THAT WE HAVE EVER HAD. THE COTTAGE EXCEEDED ALL OUR EXPECTATIONS AND MORE. A DELIGHFUL SECLUDED IDYLL IN A SOMETIMES CRAZY WORLD.

The garden was lovely but the cottage was quite shabby and poorly finished.. The only wardrobe space was behind a mirror in the space at the top of the stairs and it held childrens sized plastic coat hangers which were not suitable for holding adult clothes. The bathroom in particular was poorly finished, with badly painted polystyrene tiles on the ceiling and the wallpaper was beginning to peel. The skirting board behind the bed and under the window in the bedroom were dirty and had not been cleaned for quite some time. The owners son arrived to cut the grass after we arrived which I found quite intrusive.

This small and cosy cottage is tucked away in a quiet location yet a short drive to many attractions and towns including a 5-10 minute walk to the Eden Project.. The garden is beautiful and a good size. It was lovely sitting in the conservatory watching the birds and the sound of the stream in the distance. If you have a dog, it's a perfect place to stay with lots of dog-friendly places and walks around the area and further afield. The owners do a good job of providing lots of information on where to go and recommendations of things to do. I had a delightful stay and would come again. Thank you!

The Ark Cottage reminded me of the cottage in the film 'The Holiday', really quaint and very cosy.. It was extremely well equipped and any comments in the guest book had been acted on by the owners for future guests comfort, It is In a beautiful rural setting yet fantastic location to explore in Cornwall. The owners have gone above and beyond to supply a booklet of information of places of interest, eateries and walks with postcodes included which we found very useful. Would highly recommend it.

Small quiet and cosy retreat, suitable for couples and fairly central for Cornwall attractions like Fowey and Charlestown,Looe and Polperro.. We were able to see the car parked in its space from the cottage window, something we were not certain of from the listing.Small but well stocked garden is a delight for bird watchers.Pleasant warm and comfortable bedroom ,but the settee is in need of replacement..Perhaps to be expected from a older cottage,Bathroom and Kitchen layout was unusual ,but gave no real problems.. We enjoyed our break .

Nice welcome email received from the owners about 10 days before the start of our holiday complete with map, info on what postcode to use and things to do in the locality.. Spoke to the owners the day before and we were provided with useful additional information about the location of the key etc. Really lovely cottage only a 15 minute walk from the Eden project. Cottage located in a quiet private lane and had everything we required for a really pleasant 1 week stay. Cottage complete with a lovely garden with a with bird feeder (welcome pack included a guide to the different types of birds we could expect to see feeding). Although we didn't have a dog with us, the feedback in the cottage diary made it clear it was an ideal cottage if traveling with canine companions. There was also plenty of suggestions about recommended pubs/eateries (including those dogs were welcome). No negatives. Just a couple of small comment would be that the parking space next to the cottage was a little 'tight' for our Ford Kuga (we struggled a bit to get it out of the space) after we initially parked on arrival. No problems though as plenty of parking just down the private lane. We were initially a little unsure where to put our recycling (including what kind of recycling was accepted). We did find the recycling container down at the front of the private road (but maybe a little more info in the welcome pack would be helpful). If we travel to the same area again we would definitely return.

With regard to the property.. The pictures met expectations and the property was up to standard in as much as the facilities were concerned. The layout of the cottage was odd and while adequate could benefit from some updating and additional comfortable seating in the lounge area. The primary reason for the low rating is the bathroom. It is very dated and the shower in particular is dirty. The console is rusty and the sealing needs replacing. The tiles are also in need of re-grouiting. Finally because there is a window between the bathroom and the bedroom. If someone uses the toilet in the middle of the night the light will wake you up.

Tricky to find as it is off the beaten track and sat nav kept trying to send us to the Eden Project which is only 5 minutes away I was concerned about reviews about the steep slope up to cottage, but although narrow, you can drive up easily and park quite close. The slope to cottage from there is not that steep and is well paved and even. I’d not long had a knee replacement and had no problem. Bed comfortable and location very quiet. Garden charming. Cottage although small had most of our requirements. WiFi good. A garden umbrella would have been appreciated especially as this summer has been so sunny and hot.

The house and gardens are a tranquil and lovely week we had at this cottage.. The parking next to the property is quite a tight fit for a longer car so we used the layby further down as recommended and walked up.

Lovely little cottage which, although smaller than expected, was comfortable and had everything we needed.. We loved sitting in the garden room and watching the birds on the feeder. The Eden project is so near we could walk there easily, via a footpath. The owners sent a very useful information sheet through before the start of our holiday which was much appreciated. The cottage was ideal for exploring this area of Cornwall.

The cottage seemed 'at the back of beyond', so quiet and remote, but it is so close to the main attraction, Eden Project, and to other facilities, shops, pubs and towns..

A very comfortable adorable cottage, pretty garden and a lovely room with a settee perfectly placed for watching the amazing birds, the owners had thought of everything even putting up Xmas decorations. We will definitely be back loads more.

Was supposed to be a honeymoon but we left after 3 nights.. The place was so small and uncomfortable, no blinds on outer windows in tiny conservatory/utility room so was also like being in a fish bowl, really disappointed. The only good thing was proximity to The Eden Project

Arc Cottage was a charming, clean, well equipped little cottage, comfortable and nicely decorated in a beautiful, peaceful location.. (The Eden Project is right on the doorstep). Quite a steep slope leading up to it so not for the infirm. Extremely helpful information folder which gave me all that I needed to find my way around. Very dog friendly. Angela and Glyn very welcoming and very friendly neighbours, including doggy ones! It was perfect for me and my dog. Would definately go again. The only negative for me personally was the oven, which I found too scarey to use but no real problem - it was easy to manage with the microwave and the hob. Who wants to cook much on holiday anyway!
