Very spacious property.. Great views , when it wasn’t raining. Beds very comfortable with good sleep throughout the week. Convenient location for the Lakes. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

This house has amazing views and a lovely private garden.. It was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you

Reviews mentioned the steep hill to get to the property.. I think it's important to highlight this. Also, other reviews mentioned the narrowness of the drive, my Ford Kuga SUV fitted no problem, you just need to be careful. I reversed in every time.

We liked the spaciousness of the cottage and really appreciated the two bathrooms, especially when we were trying to get out in the morning.. The lounge and dining room were very comforatble. The view from the lounge was lovely and we enjoyed sitting on the patio and looking at the view from there as well. The cottage was very clean and smelt clean when we arrived. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were and how cosy the duvets were. The cottage was well placed for a stroll on the prom, although you have to be ready for the steep bit of road on the way back up!

I have sent numerous messages to tell you what went wrong but with no response yet.. The house was filthy when we arrived at 5.30pm despite there being a note saying the cleaners had been. Dirty laundry, no beds made. With no reasonable help from sykes we left the property checked into a local hotel for the rest of the week, we did not return despite the cleaners being sent. We had to pay 1400 for 2 rooms on top of the 997 we paid for this house. I also paid 50 insurance so hope to get some compensation from sykes

The house was beautifully presented, very clean and all the details thought of.. The layout of rooms and bathrooms was ideal. A lovely property, certainly a good way to get fit climbing up the very steep hill to get to it! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Just a minor point, it might be useful to have somewhere to put dirty boots under the car port (save getting the kitchen floor dirty). In normal weather they can just be left outside but if it's windy they would get wet! We're certainly hoping to book again.

Silverdale Mount is a spacious, comfortable, warm house with amazing sea views.. It's one of the best-equipped houses we have ever stayed in and we've stayed in plenty!

December 2019
The cottage was very cold.. Even though we ma ually put the temp higher, it went off every hour or so. As a result it never really got warm. Next time we would take our own large bath towels as only very small ones were provided. All in all a nice stay. Thankyou

This property is nice and great location.. Though it is very dated and does require some improvement and investment. New windows paint inside and out side. Though we really enjoyed the house and our holiday.

November 2019
Lovely bungalow, views super.. Only one thing spoilt it for me as I wrote in visitor book, l am hypersensitive to smells tastes etc, on arrival the smell of cleaning products or washing powder e.g.. febreze which a can of it was in bathroom ,and washing machine smelt, the same , was very pungent for more than 24 hours ,did not sleep well ,l was outside 2am getting fresh air . Please can renters be aware of people's problems and just use none perfume products. At one point thought May have to go home. Such a shame as the place was nice. Did dissipate only after 24 hours. So because of this I will. be reluctant to book any properties again.

The cottage is in a good position close to the promenade at the top of the hill, which provides great views.. The cottage was really clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen and good appliances. I would consider booking again for next year.

Windows with failed seals need replacing and decor around Windows needs improving.. Having 3females in the house with long hair and no hair dryer provided proved a problem.

Because we visit from the USA, it would be beneficial to be able to rent for more than 4 weeks in the same place.. . Wi fi was a plus, We have booked again for next year..

Entrance to drive is tight for those with long cars (mine is an estate) as the road is a narrower than usual..

The bungalow was very clean, comfortable and warm.. It had everything that you would require for the holiday. The only downside if there was one, is that there was no Wi-Fi.

A beautiful house located in a very quiet area made for a very relaxing week.. The view over Morecombe Bay was lovely.
Mr McCann
October 2016
The property was excellent, a homely feel to it, well equipped in the kitchen.. A very quiet area with shops about 15 mins walk away, the local chip shop wasn't the best. A great base to venture out from.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.. Grange-Over-Sands is an ideal location from which to explore the Lakes and a very pretty town in its own right with lovely ornamental gardens, great shops and spectacular views over the bay and good to stroll around. There is a very handy recreation ground 5 minutes walk away which is a great place to exercise the dog. The cottage was larger than expected, immaculate and extremely well equipped. We wanted for nothing, and it was presented beautifully, ideal for my dog with a well enclosed garden and plenty of space for her to run around. The house did not smell 'doggy' at all when we arrived. There was even a dog bed and bowl provided. I really cannot think of anything which was not as I would have wished. My only reason for not giving a top rating for the accuracy of the description is because it was described as a 10 minute walk to the shops. I think this is a little optimistic. I am a good walker and the main part of the town which you would need for bread and milk etc is at least a 15 minute walk or possibly 20 if you are not a brisk walker. Also the walk back is quite a steep climb - good if you want to get fit on your holiday but realistically a trip in the car if you are stocking up with provisions. We found several excellent pubs to eat, all in Flookburgh. Overall my rating is excellent, many thanks for all the effort in providing such a good service.

August 2014
The cottage was very good and they had thought about everything you might need for your stay. It was a pleasant and peaceful location. The only problem that we had was that the company advertising the property stated that it was a short stroll to the pub/shops. Whilst the distance may have been correct it was certainly not a stroll. The property was at the top of a very steep bank and had this been in the review of the property i would not have booked it due to having a daughter in a wheelchair and it was impossible to get up and down the bank with her. My parent who are in their seventies also could not manage the bank, therefore we could not leave the property to go out unless we were in the car.
Mrs Smith
June 2014
It was a very relaxing place, like home from home.
Mrs Wade
June 2014
It is the cleanest and best equipped cottage we have stayed in and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. Whoever looks after it between visits does an excellent job. It is in a good situation to explore the many things to do in the South Lakes.
Mrs Rushton

Silverdale Mount is without a doubt the best holiday property we have ever visited. Every care has been taken to ensure that the holiday experience is fantastic - there were even two towels left out for our dog to use! The views across the Bay are to die for and the neighbourhood is so tranquil.
Mr Pearce
April 2014
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the property Silverdale Mount and the views overlooking Morecambe Bay were fantastic. Various visits to National Trust Castles were most enjoyable. Trips on boats on Lake Windermere were really great and our dog Henry really enjoyed going everywhere with us. He also had lots of open spaces to run around in.
Mrs Foster
