Rambler's Cottage is a stone-built cottage situated on the owners' working farm, two miles from the town of Matlock. This cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, consisting of one double and one twin, along with a shower room. The cottage also has a kitchen with breakfast bar and a sitting room with dining area and gas stove. Outside there's ample off road parking and a lawned garden with furniture and children's play area. Rambler's Cottage is a lovely base for a family, with plenty to see and do in the area.

Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin (zip/link, can be king-size double on request) with sink. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen with breakfast bar. Sitting room with dining area and gas woodburner-effect stove.

Area
The popular town of Matlock has been attracting visitors to the area since the spa was developed in the late 17th century. The Matlocks offer a number of shops, pubs and restaurants, along with the attractions of Riber Castle, Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Close by are the market town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House and Park, as well as many other attractions to visit.

The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Note: The owner operates a caravan storage business adjacent to the property, therefore vehicles delivering or collecting caravans down the drive maybe seen.

A lovely, comfortable holiday cottage with everything included.. Four of us stayed and there was plenty of room. A short distance from the town of Matlock, and ideally placed for lots of local attractions, including Chatsworth. Lots of lovely walks in the area and one going through the farm as well which was enjoyable. A helpful list of local walks and attractions was also provided in the cottage along with some welcome provisions. Would recommend this property and thanks to the owners for an enjoyable stay.

We had a lovely stay at Ramblers Cottage.. It was very homely and comfortable. The treats upon arrival were very much appreciated and the owners very hospitable throughout our stay. The garden was an added bonus for our dog to play in and our daughters loved meeting Betty, Jess and Ruby. The cottage itself is an ideal location for many beautiful walks in the area. We booked this as a last minute holiday, as our foreign trip was cancelled, and we are so pleased we did. We would highly recommend the cottage to anyone and should we ever have another ‘staycation’, would certainly look at staying again. Thank you to the owners for such a nice stay.

Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, even Jess the dog made friends with our dog Pippa and called for her to play! The cottage was immaculate and well equipped. The area was beautiful and near to a lot of attractions. Definitely would book again.

Came for rhs chatsworth.. A smashing cosy warm cottage with cracking shower and comfy beds. Our dog raffetty loved it too. Very friendly owners. Will book again

Excellent base for exploring the Peak District, Cottage was comfortable and clean and the family are very welcoming we would definitely go back with our two dogs who had a great time on all the lovely walks.. The main road not far from the cottage is very busy, noisy at times and the national speed limit so be wary with your dog as cars do not hang around!!

The cottage was decorated for xmas with a tree and lights.. Very thoughtful gifts left for us and our dogs. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Cottage very warm and like a home from home. Enjoyed our stress free Xmas. Great break.

Beautiful cottage, was greeted with the place decorated for Christmas.. A bottle of bucks fizz, a present under the tree, biscuits, chocolates and dog treats. The owners are lovely when we had an issue it was sorted straight away. Highly recommend this place.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable.. The family that owned the farm were very friendly and welcoming and even took our boy on his tractor and combine harvester(which he loved). I would recommend this cottage to anyone 10/10.

I stayed here with my wife and sister and her partner We both brought our dogs so 2 dogs in total .The cottage is lovely and clean and the beds are very comfortable .There are some lovely walks for the dogs The family who own the property are nearby to the property .Lovely welcoming family who are very willing to help with any problems .There was scaffolding on property next door and we were given a voucher from Marks and Spencer's to say sorry for the inconvenience Which we thought was a lovely gesture .We also got a welcome tray of biscuits and hot chocolate and even the dogs got treats .Only a mile from Matlock and Bakewell is only about 15 mins away
