Perhaps the town s most famous resident is the chef Rick Stein, who has made Padstow the base for his extensive business, including cookery school brasserie, deli and fish and chip shop. There is an interesting lobster hatchery here too, as well as boat trips across the neighbouring town of Rock, with its beach, cafes, and bars. On the lower ground floor guests will enjoy the addition of a snooker room with a full sized snooker table, a fun place to spend an evening; please note, children must be supervised in this room. To the first floor there are four bedrooms: two doubles, each with a four poster bed with views across to the Camel Estuary and two twins. The property has a bathroom with shower over bath and WC, and an additional shower room with WC, both of which are located on the first floor. Outside, the property benefits from an enclosed garden with both lawned and patio areas, with seating and BBQ. The real highlight here is that guests have private access to the heated outdoor swimming pool from mid May to October, which even has a separate shallow end suitable for children.
