There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. 2018 was our third year in Crantock at number 10, the cottage has been consistently faultless, clean, everything working, Sykes contact friendly and helpful, welcome pack when you arrive, milk etc.. We go there because it doesn’t take pets and we have allergies. The cul de sac is quiet, the neighbours friendly, any mess left by the local cat is cleaned up. It’s away from the centre of Crantock in a cul de sac so no traffic but is still within walking distance of the shop and beach. The tv only seems to get bbc properly but it’s minor thing.

It would have been more professional if someone had been there to meet us.. We were asked to let them know what time we would arrive and no one was there. No 10 lacks information on local amenities and general information. No 10 however, is an excellent base and has all you need for a holiday. It is clean, tidy and spacious.

No. 10 feels like a spacious and light, modern holiday home.. The beaches are close enough to walk to with Newquay being only a short drive for supermarkets and some shopping. This place would suit couples or small families who enjoy walking or cycling, surfing or other water activities. It is particularly suited to those who are interested in wildlife such as buzzards, butterflies, cormorants and seals and have an interest in photography and art.

Just returned from our second visit.. A very well equipped, comfortable, cosy house in a convenient spot enjoying wonderful views over the countryside to the rear. A short walk to both Crantock and West Pentire.

Having stayed in or around Crantock for the last four years, always in a caravan, we got used to a certain standard of cleanliness, cooking equipment, TV etc.. Staying in the cottage was a complete eye opener and we'll never go back to caravans. Caravan cleaners have to be in and out in a certain time to get round them all, the cleaners at Vale View clearly took their time, did it properly and left no trace of anything. We booked a animal free cottage because of allergies with one of our children and I've no doubt that it was, we had no problems. There were little touches like milk in the fridge which make all the difference, specially when you've been driving for 5 hours. We were really impressed and are already thinking about next year.

Very pleased with the cottage and would definitely use again.. Found the cottage very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Ages ranged from 14 to 69 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. Perfect base for exploring and only minutes from the beautiful Crantock beach.

Vale View is a lovely house, it is modern and spacious with stunning views.. The location is great just a short walk to Crantock village and the beach. The beach at Crantock is fantastic for kids. The village is lovely with a post office and convenience store which also serves surprisingly good freshly made pizzas. There are 3 pubs and a lovely little cafe/restaurant C-bay which is right on the edge of Crantock Bay and has stunning views from the terrace. Our only criticism of the house is the wifi frequently dropped out and the TVs signal was intermittent making it difficult to watch anything other than BBC 1&2 - not a problem if you're an active family like us. The shower in the en-suite although it looked stunning was not very powerful. Other than that this is a lovely house,we enjoyed our stay. **There is a lack of broadband currently in the village which does affect use during the height of the season. BT are on to it! ** ** Vale View experienced some hot water issues which have been identified and fixed **

Lovely house full of all mod-cons, in great location, just 15 minute walk to the beach and less to the village centre.. Accommodation was perfect with a 11 year old girl and 12 year old boy, separate comfortable bedrooms plus wifi access on the occasions we weren't out or on the beach. Lots to do within a relatively short drive if you want something different from the fantastic beach at Crantock, Karting at St Eval, St Michael's Mount, shopping in Newquay, fish and chips in Padstow Harbour.....
