Mole cottage is gorgeous! We’ve just had our 3rd annual visit here, which was fantastic. We love staying in Mousehole at this time of year when we can enjoy a bit of wild weather and being able to use the log burner in the evening. Had a very good walk from behind Mole cottage along the costal path to Lamorna, thoroughly recommended. Many bus rides to and from Newlyn for our daily supply of local cheese and fish (recommend W Stephenson for the fish) . Made daily use of the Ship Inn, Mousehole, quiz night on Thursday is not to be missed, but book a table in advance ! Mole Cottage is beautifully maintained and cared for and we would highly recommend. Can’t wait to return… Thank you.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here in the summer and had such an incredible time! The cottage went above and beyond expectations. As soon as we arrived it was clear that a lot of thought, love and care had gone into the place - the cottage was immaculate, very clean and tidy. We were greeted with a complimentary cream tea which went down a treat. The decor and little touches made the stay so comfortable and enjoyable. We slept like babies - the bed is so comfy. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need to make your stay feel like a home from home experience. Not to mention the stunning views!! The location is perfect - only a short walk away from pubs, cafes and art galleries! We would 100% recommend this cottage if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway. It’s fabulous! We can’t wait to return next year.

This cottage is so close to the harbour and within easy access of all the facilities of beautiful Mousehole. The local shop has fresh sausages, bacon etc. The local cafes all do takeaway and we had wonderful paella and ice cream! The Cottage is not suitable for anyone ageing or with any physical difficulties. Our first challenge was to navigate the incredibly steep steps upto the front door. We were then faced with a sheer drop stair case into the kitchen. However there is a door on the ground floor that takes you directly out onto the road outside so no need to use the main door with the steep steps which we used for the remainder of our break Parking is always a challenge in Mousehole just have lots of change and you will find somewhere eventually The positives; great locatio, Mousehole is beautiful, wonderful large walk in shower, good kitchen facilities and very comfortable double bed. Mind the wood at the bottom sticking out we have a cut and bruise from this! There was a lovely cream tea waiting for us, scones Jam and Cream and a pint of milk which was appreciated The not so positives; the fresh paint fumes hit us as soon as we walked in and it was impossible to open the old windows to let any air in making being indoors very warm, uncomfortable and caused headaches. All the windows, as we couldn’t open them were badly condensated every morning The sofa and chair had no padding and it was like sitting on pieces of hard wood The table and chairs in the lounge, the chairs has wooden low backs that again were uncomfortable The WiFi tv had limited channels as the WiFi connection was poor To bring your meals up from the kitchen was virtually impossible due to the overly steep stair case, you have to literally carry one item at a time, lots of cold meals! The neighbour likes to stand outside his front door very early in the morning and advise his wife that he is going to the shop, back from the shop, so don’t expect to be able to have any peace or a lie in as this goes on all day!! This is not a cottage that will make you feel relaxed, it’s caused stress due to all of the above and apart from the bed is very uncomfortable. So much so we cut our holiday short and came home early. We have stayed in a different cottage in Mousehole many times and always had a wonderful stay, we wanted to experience somewhere else and this was a disappointment

Very clean and newly refurbished cottage with a well equipped kitchen and a comfy sofa.. Second bedroom and bunk bed was a little small for our teenage daughter but she managed! Would of liked to have extended our stay and arrive a day earlier, cottage was available but unfortunately not a cleaner which was shame. Great location in Mousehole.

The cottage was well and attractively furnished and immaculately clean, and a really good base for a couple for a week.. . The stairs down to the basement (where the bathroom and kitchen are) were VERY steep, which others have mentioned. Although that wasn't a problem for us, I think this could be highlighted more in the description - it says that the cottage is not suitable for under-6s but I agree with some of the comments in the book in the cottage that it would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues e.g. the elderly.

The cottage, location was as expected and we had a lovely time.. Our only 'gripe' was not with the accommodation but with the building work being carried out on the roof of the next cottage. Monday through to Friday at 08.00 each day, BBC radio 6 music was aired to all and sundry in Cherry Garden Street (and beyond) and was audible in every room at Mole Cottage. Luckily we had planned to get up around this time and did so with a nice cup of tea in bed in readiness for the day ahead. That said the music was also occasionally accompanied by the builder regularly clearing the phlegm from his lungs onto what we hoped would be some vessel of sorts (and not the roof). As you can imagine, having being woken at 8 am and then drinking our tea to the accompaniment of these sounds was, in our opinion rather inconsiderate and we wondered what other guests might have made of this if they were looking forward to getting up later or planned to stay at the accommodation during the day.

The cottage is exactly as described, however it was let down by the fact that many of the utensils, pans, plates and bowls were not clean.. We washed most things before we used them.

Just one criticism, the shower head wasn't working properly.. Just a stream of water and no spray so making it a bit difficult to wash hair and shower generally. Other than that, the cottage was lovely. In a good position, quiet, very tastefully decorated and comfortable. Also extremely well equipped. Thanks!

We had high expectations of this cottage and they were met.. It was well equipped, tastefully furnished but cosy. While we were there we put the wood burner to good use! The cottage is tucked away in a secluded street but within easy reach of all the local facilities. From the top floor window, on a sunny day, you can see across the bay to St Michael’s Mount.

Mole Cottage was a beautiful place to stay for a relaxing week exploring West Cornwall with my dog.. The parking was close to the cottage and there was a little pull in which meant I could unload the car before heading to the car park. The roads are as windy as you'd expect but plenty of passing places etc so easy to navigate (although I was out of high season so it might be different in the Summer). The cottage itself was exactly as it looked in the pictures so of a very high standard - plus there was a welcome of milk/tea/biscuits etc which was much needed after the drive. Highly recommend and would love to return!

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the country.. Owner very helpful especially when we had to call him out the first night when we locked ourselves out. The listing made us aware that there was no parking at the cottage so we were aware of this before we booked and being Cornwall we were also ready for the small windy roads. What we were not really prepared for was how difficult it was to find parking anywhere even with it being mid-September.
