Milford House is a well equipped and spacious Cottage.. Tideswell makes a perfect Peak District location, as it is centrally located between the White and Dark Peaks and it has useful local shops and places to eat. Larger stores are close by at Chesterfield, Chapel-en-le-Frith and Buxton. A great base from which to enjoy walking and other activities in the glorious peak district!

We had a lovely holiday, thank you.. It was a great location for a walking weekend with friends. Good access to local shops, pubs and cafes. We didn’t use the cooking facilities much or the dishwasher or washing machine. It would have been nice for everyone to be able to sit on chairs at the table rather than some having to sit on a bench and there weren’t enough bowls for all of us, but nothing serious. The large fridge was much appreciated as was the bottle of wine inside!

My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed this, our second visit to Milford House.. The cottage could not be faulted, extremely clean, comfortable and well appointed. The village is delightful and there is so much to see in the area that we have still not exhausted it all. We may well be back!

The cottage was amazing, so well equipped and comfortable.. The welcome bottle of wine was such a nice touch. It's location was perfect too, the village has everything you need, and a number of places and pubs to eat out in if you don't want to cook Such a pretty village too, and central for touring, nothing was too far away. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

My family and I spent a fabulous holiday recently at Milford House.. The lovely house is in the village of Tideswell where my family go back 320 years. My Mother still lives in the village so we book a place where my Dad can join in. It is so convenient as he can take a bus there, and walk the short distance to the house. It is marvelous having the Co-op so handy and close to the holiday place. I love to go to Buxton to swim at the Palace Hotel. My sister loves to walk localy and takes many photographs. Milford House was an ideal base for our walking holiday.. The village is pretty and the surrounding area is lovely. The house was very clean and allowed us to make meals when we wanted, or wander a few short yards to a pub one way, and a shop and chip shop the other! We'd happily return as there is so much more to explore...

Lovely cottage with very amenable owners.. Nice little village with plenty of good places to eat. Lovely warm welcome at the horse and jockey pub and well worth a visit after a nice long walk.
