The house was beautiful and had everything we needed.. The caretaker went above and beyond our expectations as our Sainsbury’s delivery arrived before we did, she very kindly put all our food away.
It was also very lovely to meet the owner and here all about the house’s history.

This is an excellent property for a large family gathering.. There is plenty of room for everyone. The area has lots to offer and the chance to see the sheep and pigs close up was great for smaller children.

My family really did feel this was the perfect getaway and it delivered on location, we really loved seeing the wildlife and this was a highlight of our time there - even the field mouse in the kitchen was very cute! !!
We relaxed in the garden a lot of the time whilst there and enjoyed some wonderful and quality family time which was the aim of staying here. We were a little shocked when the farmer next door appeared in our garden to get water practically on a daily basis from the tap under the utility room window, but we got to know and expect him over our time there.
The place was clean and had everything you could wish for to enjoy a home from home environment. We did notice there seemed to be a lack of towels in the house on our arrival, and then spotted that the cleaner had forgotten to empty a laundry basket full of dirty towels in one of the bathrooms that we had not used (on our check out day!!!!), this was not an issue for us we simply washed the few we had been provided with.
Overall we would come back to Marles Farmhouse and we would recommend to our friends. Thank you.

Apart from problems with water from well over first couple of days, the owners did make sure it was fixed quickly and efficiently, this farmhouse is amazing, very well equipped with nice personal touches.. Would recommend for large groups.
Brilliant week for all of us.

Set in a secluded part of the Dorset countryside but still close to the coast. Very well equipped kitchen with a large dinning table easily seating 12 people. Large fridge/freezer in utility room as well as a small fridge in the kitchen which was very useful for breakfast items and children's food. The comfortable lounge with log burner was great for the adults to meet whilst the children played in the television room. Comfortable bedrooms with their own bathrooms are always a bonus for large groups.
Local produce including fresh fish from West Bay was excellent, would also recommend visiting the nearby Cider Farm which also had some interesting art sculptures by the owner of the farm. All in all a great place to base oneself with friends and family when visiting the area.
