The market town of Glossop, with its transport links to Manchester and local towns is also close by. Other attractions further afield include the Blue John Mines, Treak Cliff Cavern and Speedwell Cavern, a flooded underground cave system that is explored by boat. Well worth a visit is Lyme Park and Hall where Pride and Prejudice was filmed in 1995 and Peveril Castle, situated near Castleton built in 1080. Derwent Valley with a picturesque series of dams and reservoirs where the 'dam busters' trained. In the immediate vicinity of Moorfield are the hills, valleys and streams that make up The Peak District National Park. Stepping into the stunning open plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is incredibly spacious, the kitchen area offers electric oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and there is a dining table large enough to comfortably seat four people. Feel like the king or queen of the castle looking over the accommodation below, with the stunning carved beams sweeping over the bed providing a very characterful escape. Heading outside, there is a patio area which guests are welcome to use and enjoy the summer nights with a relaxing drink and watch the birds in the mature trees that surround you. There is ample off road parking directly outside the property.
