A massive Thank You to Julie and Simon for such a lovely stay at Fairfield cottage. They really have thought of everything and it is truly a “home from home”. Cosy, quirky, comfortable, equipped with everything you could need for a self catering break and just what you want from a Cornish holiday, with the added bonus of a parking space. Boscastle is a lovely, quaint, bustling little village with some lovely walks and coffee pit stops. A visit to Boscastle Farm Shop for breakfast or coffee and cake, or even just a browse, is definitely worthwhile, either on foot via the coastal walk or by car. The cakes are amazing. A good idea to book online if you prefer to sit inside, otherwise it is first come first serve for seating outside with incredible views! The Napoleon pub, which is just a stones throw away, is well located for a relaxed drink and easy meal if you don’t fancy going too far. Lunch at The Wellington is good value for money and there’s plenty of it. We can highly recommend Caffe Rojano by Paul Ainsworth in Padstow for a mid-range priced meal with A* service and food, but do book in advance, if you can, otherwise it may be a long wait. For a simple, cheap carvery on Thursday or Sunday the Widemouth Manor hotel is 20 mins away. Bude, Padstow and Port Isaac are all worth a visit and are all quite different and lovely in their own ways.
