Inside it only gets better: we love the cosy living room, with its plush sofa, a warming fireplace and plenty of unique pieces dotted about. The place fully retains its period character, with stone and wood details, including the impressive wooden beams on the ceiling. Let yourself be inspired to create delicious meals in the country-style kitchen and share them with your loved ones at the wooden dining table.

Head upstairs to find two comfy bedrooms, each carrying the promise of a good night’s rest. You can also treat yourself to some self-pampering with a luxurious bubble bath. Wake up restored and start your day with breakfast in the gorgeous tiered garden, with its stream-like pond which runs across the middle.

When you feel like venturing out, there is plenty to explore in the area – from picturesque walks and cycling trails to the village itself. There’s also The Mount Inn, an excellent place for a drink or a scrumptious Sunday lunch.

*Stag and hen parties are not allowed here and any other events must be authorised by the host at the time of booking.
*An initial free supply of firewood for the fireplace is provided between October and April only.
