The village of Tideswell stands in the heart of the Peak District National Park. It has pubs, a restaurant, cafes, fish and chip shops, and sandwich shops and is surrounded by must visit towns. Tideswell is well known for its popular Food Festival, which takes place every May. It features a wide variety of food from local suppliers, as well as stalls, cookery demonstrations and entertainment. There are excellent walking routes with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just 4 miles outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are both within 11 miles and the popular spa town of Buxton is an 8 mile trip. Step into the kitchen which offers everything you need to rustle up a delightful meal during your stay, including electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. The lounge/diner is the place where you can cosy up with good company on an evening, with beautiful wood flooring, stylish seating, a wood burner and smart TV with DVD and Blue Ray player. The nearby dining table offers a comfortable space to sit and enjoy a meal, whilst planning the activities that lie ahead. Upstairs, there are two bright and airy bedrooms, a super king size with fitted wardrobes providing plenty of storage space, and a further double bedroom. Don t forget your bubble bath if you like a long soak after a day hiking the hills as the bathroom offers a bath, enclosed shower, and WC. There is a handy outhouse that has a washing machine, tumble dryer and space to store bikes and muddy boots. There is on street parking to the front of the cottage, subject to availability.
