We had booked a week at this cottage in around three weeks time. As required, we pre-paid the full booking. This week I received medical advice that I cannot now travel to the UK, and so had to cancel everything - including this booking. Booking.com enabled us to explain the terrible and unavoidable situation, and we sought at least a partial waiver of the costs. We have instead been advised that this property is “unable” (with no explanation) to do anything but charge us the full cost. We have accepted this, but it is very poor customer service and I recommend you do not book this cottage if there is even a possibility of cancellation. We will never use them again.

Myself and 3 friends recently visited Lucy's cottage as part of a girls weekend away. We found this cottage on Sykes Cottages and have go say it was beautiful! Fully as advertised, it was clean, comfortable, and has all a great range of available facilities. It was a short stones throw away from Bath and Cheddar Gorge and is situated in a beautiful rural village of Priston.Lucy was a really brilliant attentive host who made us feel very welcome too. If you're looking for a nice rural retreat with the open of walks, pubs and Bath nearby, it's definitely worth a visit! Thankyou for a wonderful stay!

Cider press cottage is a lovely place to spend a holiday when sight seeing in Somerset.. The decor and facilities are first class and the owner Lucy made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. The village is a good place to start many walks from and there are loads of local books and maps in the cottage. The village pub does excellent food, and to stock up there is a Sainsburys approx. four miles away. We would recommend this cottage to anyone.

Such a cosy little place.. Lucy Barnes was a delight and made us a superb lemon drizzle cake! The Cider Press was well equipped, clean and tidy and the beds were extremely comfortable. It was a lovely cosy place to stay. It’s extremely close to Bath and the park and ride was so close. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cottage.

Such a beautiful, cosy cottage.. Suited our needs perfectly and was in an ideal location to explore Bath and the local area. Loved having the wood burner going in the evenings! Lovely couple of days away to recharge :-)
