All the accommodation is laid out over one level an there is a large, enclosed patio area beside the stream; perfect for enjoying a spot of al fresco dining in the long, summer evenings. There is off-road parking for 1 car and the local amenities are a mere 10-minute walk from the front door.

The cottage was really quaint.. Beds very comfortable and clean. The owner had left a bottle of milk for us in the fridge, perfect for a cuppa when we arrived. Everything had been cleaned and a sanitiser left for us to use. Set in beautiful countryside ideal for walks. Milton on stour is a tiny village with no shops, but Gillingham is only a few minutes drive. Would definitely visit again.

An amazing cottage - We didn't want for anything.. Immaculately clean and very welcoming and comfortable, to come home to, after our trips out. We were, pleasantly, surprised to find that the owners have done a lovely refurbishment to the bathroom since photos were displayed on the cottage site.

It would be a good idea to update pictures.. The picnic table does not exist. Also it should be made clearer that there is no garden. You cross a road to a bit of grass. The patio area is nice but not safe for a small dog. They can fit through the bars of the railings. A large dog would probably be ok. The cottage itself is very nice.

Very spacious and clean.. Very well situated. Very nice landlord. Our only issue was that there's quite a bit of traffic so the terrace isn't as peaceful as it could be.

We were very disappointed with the location of the property.. Starting with the positives, fantastic walks in local area for our dog. However, each time he needed to relieve himself, we had to cross the road outside the cottage to reach the small patch of grass on the other side, as there was no grass surrounding the property. Also, the cottage was situated right next to a caravan storage unit, which meant that caravans were constantly being towed past it, causing a fair amount of disturbance for us if we happened to be sitting on the concrete patio outside.

Nice little cottage, with everything you need & a good location.. However the photo's of the garden are very misleading. The " garden " is actually a couple of minutes walk away & is part of the owners caravan park. Does not belong to the cottage at all. The stream running under the property was pleasant enough but needed some TLC. Also there was no nearby shop, closed a while ago. To be fair the owner informed us of this immediately but Sykes need to update their details & explain exactly where the " garden " is.

The cottage was absolutely spotless.. The owner was available every day had we needed anything but was not intrusive at all. I cannot recommend the property highly enough for its location and condition. Many thanks.

A lovely clean, well equipped, peaceful cottage. Had an enclosed area for dogs and a local field to walk dogs and let them off their lead. The lovely bath was much appreciated after long walks.

A very beautiful and comfortable cottage. This was a last minute break, and the cottage proved to be a bonus. We particularly loved the stream flowing under the cottage with all its wildlife, and we hope to return next year.

What a delightful cottage Brook Cottage is, a really relaxing and peaceful location. Whilst on a working farm of sorts my wife and our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With walks on the doorstep and the delights of Dorset too, we were really hapy and satisfied. We asked the owner about the picture of this cottage, it was taken on a rainy day and we felt it let it down. If you stay here you'll relax and enjoy your stay.

A nice part of the country to visit and the cottage helped make everything for our holiday complete. The pictures on the Sykes site didn't do the cottage justice. We're really happy and would recommend the cottage.

This was the first time we had stayed in a cottage in this country and for a first experience this was lovely. The accommodation was very well equipped, clean and comfortable so even though we weren't very lucky with the weather we had a great time. There was good walking nearby and its a lovely area.

Far enough away from city life to completely relax, but the local life was just a short walk away. The cottage was comfy, warm, and inviting and had everything we needed for our chilled family Christmas. we will be recommending Brook Cottage to friends and may look to return in the summer.

The location of the property was ideal. Plenty of allocated space for the dog to excercise on the farm. The property was particularly pleasant, overlooking the brook.

Beautiful countryside, close to nature and accessibility to various places of interest for all tastes. The cottage over the brook I think must be quite unique. A very interesting setting especially with ducks and their families swimming under your bedroom! During periods of quiet, the sound of the water and the birds - ducks, jackdaws, swallows and many others (bats and owls). In the main a true country idyll with nice people. I would return.
