We really enjoyed the cottage, it was exceptionally clean and really welcoming.. The beds were so comfy, and the rooms were really big. The kitchen had a lot of facilities and the lounge felt really cosy. There were games and DVDS we could use, local information and little food and drink items we weren’t expecting which was a bonus. The owners were really friendly and gave us tips on where to eat out - fab weekend and would definitely go back!

Beautiful cottage, clean, well equipped and in a fantastic location (easy walk to local amenities, Cromford Canal, High Peak trail and Matlock Bath).. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly and we were very grateful for the care package (in particular the milk!) waiting for us when we arrived.

We had a fabulous stay at Bedehouse.. The cottage is beautiful, lovely old features, plenty of space and was exceptionally clean. The host left a really thoughtful care pack- tea, coffee, milk, wine, and snacks which was just what we needed after a long journey. This was lovely touch. The village is a great setting for exploring Derbyshire and the hosts were really friendly and helpful - offering advice on trips and restaurants. This is certainly the best cottage we've stayed at.

This cottage has been beautifully modernised to make a most comfortable and attractive base tucked off the village High Street with walks up to The High Peak Trail and down to The Cromford Canal past local shops in an area with so much interesting history.. As we arrived the week before Corona Virus restrictions started to be introduced Hygiene and Privacy were at the front of my mind and I could not have been happier with the cleanliness of the cottage or the friendliness and sensitivity of the caring owners next door. We hope to return and see the area a little later in spring another year.

Cosy and characterful cottage.. We enjoyed our stay over the festive period, the cottage was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated for Christmas. There were plenty of local walks and places to visit. The owners were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. Would definitely recommend. Matt & Pauline.

Stayed for a weekend in November with my husband and two children. Lovely, well equipped cottage with everything we needed including equipment for the children. Everything is good quality and in beautiful condition. Very welcoming owner, on hand to advise on local attractions and pubs/restaurants. Will definitely re-visit.

We stayed in this cottage in August 2016 and had a brilliant time. Sarah (the owner) and her family are lovely and where very accomodating when we made last minute changes to our arrival plans.Cromford itself is a gem of a village with lots of places to eat and visit. (especially the Whte Lion just up the road). So clean and spacious, book now before someone else does. ;-)

I stayed at Bedehouse cottage with my wife and children for 3 weeks in June. We are all well seasoned travellers and I have many positives to share about the property: - Location is great. Access to Matlock, Matlock Bath and Wirksworth is very easy by bus or just walking. - The cottage is quiet and somehow secluded from the main road. The interior has clearly been refurbished and we found it in a great condition. We had all the amenities you would expect. - The owner (Sarah) was very gracious with us. She was a great sounding board, answered our requests and was thoughtful enough to bring a train set for my son to play when the weather was rainy. I would highly recommend this cottage.

The property was faultless. It was clean without being sterile, and while neutrally decorated it retained a homely feel. There was a helpful, personalised welcome pack along with a visit from the owner on the first day to make sure everything was OK which was much appreciated. The village as steeped in history, while closeness, with easy public transport links, into the heart of the Peak District makes it a great location.

Just returned from a four nights stay at this lovely cottage. From the friendly welcome from Sarah to the great location just up the hill from the village, everything was just perfect! The cottage is spacious and well appointed and the location is great for exploring the Peaks/Dales. Will definitely book again if in the area.

Three generations spent a lovely week at Bedehouse Cottage filled with laughter and happiness. Bedehouse Cottage is spacious, tastefully furnished and very well equipped - the owners have covered everything a family might need for sunny days out or rainy days indoors. The cottage was clean, warm and cosy, and there was lots of room for everyone. We had some lovely evenings around the dining table. Upstairs the rooms were very spacious with comfy beds. The garden is safe for small children and gets full sunshine into the evening so is perfect for BBQs or evening drinks, and the property's view over the hills is spectacular. The info book was useful, along with a good array of local interest/history books and tourist info leaflets. The owners live next door - a perfect combination of conveniently on hand whilst not intrusive. The location was great, the cottage is on a lane just off Cromford Hill - minutes from the village centre (and not too far up the hill!) and also it is an ideal starting point for some exhilarating walks, both up and down the hill. We will certainly be returning to Bedehouse Cottage with friends and family!

We just finished a lovely four night stay, the cottage has everything you need, and a nice touch on arrival was fresh flowers, and a welcoming bottle of wine. Despite its age (200 YEARS), it has been nicely renovated to a nice , mix of oldie worldie, and modern, bedrooms are spacious. It's a great location for exploring the Peak District, with quite a few local walks and attractions within easy reach, we were lucky with the weather and had some nice days out. The location is just off the Hill leading into Cromford, being set back has the advantage of being quiet away from the traffic noise, however this does limit the view from its windows. Our thanks to Sarah and family for a lovely visit ...

We loved this cottage - it is just perfect for a small party (there were 4 of us). The rooms are spacious, the décor appropriate - not overdone, and just the right amount of equipment needed for our stay. Sarah and her family were very friendly and welcoming, the cottage was lovely and warm, and not too far 'up t'hill'! There is a lovely little garden which catches the sun right through to the evening - perfect for evening drinks after a day's walking. We have stayed in several places in Cromford over the years and this is definitely the best. We will definitely return!

Bedehouse Cottage is lovely, having all the charms of a characterful cottage; beams, fire and deep-set windows, whilst still feeling roomy. Being set on a quiet lane, but with the quaint shops and pubs that serve Cromford only a short stroll away, the location is brilliant. Overall, we thought it a perfect base for getting out and exploring Derbyshire and we had a perfect festive break here.
