Property Description

Discover the Brecon Beacons far and wide, staying in this peaceful and remote location close to the village of Sennybridge (3 miles) which has welcoming country pubs. Those looking to spend some quality time together can embark on romantic walks around the wonderful Welsh countryside, exploring the beautiful green valleys or summiting the national park s highest mountain, Pen y Fan (14 miles). Keen fishermen will no doubt jump at the opportunity to procure a catch of the day, with the River Crai running right through the farmland for brown trout, and the nearby Usk Reservoir (5.5 miles) a popular spot for fly fishing. Travel to the nearby town of Brecon (11.5 miles) for restaurants, shops and cafes. This lovingly converted cottage has been developed from a 200 year old barn and makes up part of a complex of properties on this popular sheep farm. On arrival, head down a step and into the open plan living area where the kitchen, lounge and dining room can be found .The kitchen is petite but fully functional, with induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine. A small freezer can be found in the outhouse, where a boiler offers a warm spot for storing outerwear and secure storage for bikes. Head back inside and settle into the lounge, selecting a book to flick through or simply sit down and enjoy a DVD. On the first floor, a spacious double bedroom with sloping ceilings offers an inviting space to rest your head each night, with an en suite waterfall shower, heated towel rail and WC. There s a small but functional patio space to the front of the property, with outdoor furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining. The property is located on a 220 acre sheep farm and the resident owners invite you to take a stroll through the farm, a particularly nice pastime during lambing season.
