Fantastic house, very roomy and in a quiet location.. Well equipped kitchen and lovely garden to sit in. We had a great week there and explored the area well. Very close to highland folk museum and the Wildlife Park. It’s also just a short drive to Laggan bike trax for those that like mountain biking too.

Excelled house, perfect for our two families.. Really well equipped house, clean, cosy but spacious. Perfect setting with views to die for. Deer and red squirrel moseying around the back!! The listing online says no parking this must be an error as there’s ample parking space. Highly recommended would definitely go again, I imagine it’s just as beautiful in the summer!!

This house is fantastic.. Four generations of my family went to celebrate my husband's birthday and we all had a fabulous time. Plenty room on the house for everyone, so well equipped and very comfortable. Ideally located to visit many of the region's attractions.

An Torr was a very comfortable and cosy holiday house.. There was lots of space and the beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and very sociable for the cooks. There are loads of walks in the local area. We would love to come and stay again the future - it would be lovely in the winter. Just a few things that could be improved - The blue recycling bin was full upon our arrival so we had to bag our recycling for the week. A second blue bin would solve that issue. The garden furniture was looking a bit tired and the floor sweeper downstairs needed a new head. We had a great holiday, thank you so much!!

An Torr is in a fantastic location.. The Glen hotel is easily walkable for a night cap and though the shop is further away it's a flat walk and very pleasant. Loads to do in the local area. We were 2 families with 2, 6 and 7 year old children and they had a ball. Feeding the reindeer was magical and Loch Morlich was so beautiful. On rainy days there are a couple of soft plays within easy driving distance but we were lucky so were outside most of the time. The Balavil hotel has a small indoor swimming pool which was great fun but it does get really busy so go early evening to avoid the hoards! The Highland Folk museum is huge and we went twice, and the Highland Wildlife park was a lovely jaunt too. The Landmark Centre in Carrbrige was a huge hit. Pricey to get in but it really is a whole day affair so that makes it worth the money. The house itself was tremendously well equipped; warm, cosy and really relaxing after a day out. The only downside was the downstairs twin bedroom was noisy if people moving about or having a shower upstairs.

This holiday home was amazing ! The area was absolutely stunning, there was plenty to do and places to visit my family and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My grandchildren loved the wildlife right on the doorstep. I would recommend this place to anyone and we would definitely go back again.

This place is fantastic it’s comfortable and has everything you will need for your holidays.. We have stayed 3 times now and it feels like going home every time we arrive. Sitting in the garden is a wee sun trap and you can catch the last of the sun of the day on the balcony. We can’t wait to go back next year

We stayed here to attend our nephews wedding in Glentruim.. It was a perfect house for 9 of us to stay comfortably for the weekend. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and cooking a roast dinner on Sunday was easy. The bedrooms were well laid out and the beds very comfortable. We would definitely return to this area and this house in particular.

A fantastic holiday home in a brilliant location. Plenty of room for a large family, with everything provided at the property so you couldn't ask for much more. Even though it was freezing outside with the underfloor heating in the house was always warm. Brilliant location for exploring the Highlands and of course skiing on the Cairngorms.

November 2015
It had a very large and lovely wood finished well equipped kitchen with a great cooking range, it was a real pleasure to cook in and socialise in. The main living room was lovely with massive luxurious couches and plenty of beans bags and things to get everyone sat down at the same time. There was good WiFi signal in the house and a good sized porch with plenty of room for our groups plethora of winter jackets and boots etc. The bedrooms were lovely, all of the adults commented on the quality and comfort of the mattresses on the beds. Another luxurious feature was the baths, they are enormous. The house was nice and warm despite the wintry conditions outside, the underfloor heating downstairs was great and the upstairs living room with the fire was nice and toasty in the evening. Overall it was probably one of the best self catering houses we have stayed at as a group over the years. Will recommend to friends and family.

This spacious accommodation was perfect for our family get together. I loved the fact the under floor heating was so warm, especially the vestibule where we all took off our wet shoes and wet jackets.

Stayed in this lovely holiday home with four other couples and three babies. Plenty of room for everyone. Wonderful, comfy beds. Fantastic facilities including wifi, free view, games. Fully equipped kitchen made cooking for so many people very easy. One thing we couldn't find was a hairdryer but it was a gamble not to take one with us! Within walking distance to Newtonmore. We all had a great stay.

Perfect accommodation for a family get together. Given the sunshine and downpours, we were so glad of the under floor heating in the vestibule when peeling off the outdoor clothing and shoes. The location was perfect for exploring Newtonmore. We had a day in the town going to the museums and supporting the local shinty team. Then a day at the wildlife park and exploring Aviemore and surrounds. We loved the kitchen area and had out evening meals in the dining area. The upstairs lounge was great, curling up on the enormous couches.

An Torr is an excellent spacious property perfect for two families. The family bedroom on the ground floor is ideal for grandparents. An extremely well equipped house with a very useful laundry room. Set in a quiet, safe environment, overlooking beautiful scenery. The children loved being independent and exploring the large garden. It is an easy walk to local shops and restaurants and is a good location for visiting places of interest in the Highlands. We have already recommended the property to friends and family and we hope to stay there again in the future.
Mrs Dymock
April 2015
The house was very comfortable and warm. The area was quiet and felt safe. The surrounding area was excellent for walking and fishing, there were shops and restaurants a short walk away from the house. The house is large and spacious with lots of options depending on what you wanted to do. The kitchen was well equipped. Owner was easily contacted for any questions although it was all well explained in a welcome folder. The beds were particularly comfortable.
