This cottage is wonderful beautiful location near to moor and village we loved it the 10 steps up to the front door could be a problem but there are others ways to get in so it didn’t bother us and I have arthritis in knees the rooms are huge beds really comfortable kitchen is well equipped and lounge big and very comfortable wood burner is very welcome after a cold and wet winter walk owners very friendly a bonus for me was being able to walk my two dogs across the field in front of cottage thankyou we would love to return sometime

Lovely house in a lovely location, 5 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs comfortably accommodated. This house is perfect if you want to stay somewhere out of the way of the main “touristy” areas, very well equipped and characterful. The rooms are comfortable and cosy, it could do with a better shower in the en-suite as it isn’t great and would benefit from a good dusting in the corners but overall it’s clean and tidy. Good parking for two cars and a fairly secure garden for dogs. Lots of information provided for local eateries and attractions on arrival. We had a late night incident with a poorly 5 year old on the last night and they could not have been more understanding. Ironing board and iron provided along with washing machine and tumble dryer which was a god send (see above) Definitely will return

The cottage had many thoughtful touches and was very homely.. The owners were very kind with arrangements for my 90 year old mother. Really beautiful views, very quiet and Blisland is a very friendly village. On a sunny day in December the sunroom was a really warm and a lovely place to sit. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything needed including another beautiful view. The heating system and wood burner were excellent although the double bedroom next to the living room could be cold at night. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The bathrooms were modern and very well equipped. A beautiful setting on a nice farm. Wonderful, thank you!

There is a set of stone steps up to the building that get a little slippery when it is wet..

Very peaceful place with lovely views and just a short walk to a pretty village and up onto Bodmin Moor.. Higher Tumrose is a very cozy, but spacious bungalow. The large lounge has the best wood burning stove I’ve ever used - so easy to light. There was plenty of equipment in the kitchen. Everything worked although the appliances are a bit elderly (the microwave is small). The beds were very comfortable too. The downside; the main bathroom shower was little more than a dribble which meant queuing for the electric en-suite one. There are ten steps up to the front door and the paving is slippery when wet. Only a problem if you book the property, like us, with an elderly parent in mind. Bizarrely the sun lounge was a fly graveyard! This aside, Higher Tumrose was a great place to stay for exploring North Cornwall. We loved the pub too - great beer and really friendly.

We would like to thank the hosts Mr and Mrs Jensen for their kindness, friendship and hospitality.. They were there if we needed them and yet left us alone to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the cottage. The views and the tranquility of the cottage made a perfect holiday for us. The cottage was warm and very comfortable well equipped. For us it made for a perfect time away to leave as far as we could the trials and tribulations of our normal lives behind us and just enjoy each others company in a wonderful setting. Please thank Mr and Mrs Jensen very much for allowing us to have the opportunity to stay at Higher Tumrose.

Another week in a beautiful cottage with friendly owners.. Found this wonderfully peaceful place last year & had to go back. If you are looking for somewhere to unwind this is it. Traditional village pub very close for good meals & a wonderful community run shop - please use it so locals don't lose it.

We were very surprised to see you charging a booking fee.. We assume that Sykes have introduced this charge which is unwelcome.
