Hideaway is a detached cottage on one level, in Charlestown, a few minutes walk from shops, pubs and beach with off road parking for 2 cars. Sleeping four in two bedrooms – a double with en suite shower-room and a twin, plus bathroom. Open plan living-dining room and kitchen area with external utility room. Neat gravelled garden with furniture. A comfy base within easy reach of good golf and beautiful gardens to visit.

Area
A delightful and much sought-after coastal village of stone cottages and Regency houses, on the south coast near St. Austell. Famous for its collection of tall ships riding at anchor in the harbour, the shipwreck museum, excellent pubs and restaurants and easy access to the coastal path, it's the perfect holiday destination.

How can I list everything that is good about The Hideaway Barn! Huge very comfy bed, two bath/shower rooms, spacious living area with fridge, cooker, microwave & dishwasher. Parking (very important!) and an easy walk within minutes to Charlestown harbour, cafes, pubs, eateries etc. Superb fast wifi, and lovely owners close by who are there if a problem should arise. Two stays in the bag already, and a third booked for this year. Well situated for visits to picturesque south coast places and in June the poppies on the headland at West Pentire are only a 20 minute drive away. My perfect home from home in Cornwall. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

As the name says this is a real holiday hideaway.. Comfortable and quiet away from traffic but within easy reach of all attractions. Very well equipped with everything you might need, a huge bonus even the knives are sharp! Usually holiday lets have the most useless knives and can openers.

This was our second stay at Hideaway Barn and was just as good as we remembered.. The owners are very helpful and happy to impart their knowledge of places to visit and things to do. Charlestown is a lovely place to stay with plenty of restaurants, bars and interesting small shops.

This was our second holiday at the Hideaway Barn and it was as good as last year! We had a wonderful time. The Barn is very lovely and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and the position is perfect for Charlestown - just a hop skip and a jump up the lane with lots of really good places to eat. Perfect location for visiting further afield and this year we would recommend Lappa Valley Steam Railway and Springfields Fun Park!

Hideaway Barn is in the perfect location.. Beautiful Charlestown with its beach, harbour (with Poldark Ships), restaurants, coffee shop and the wonderful Rashleigh Arms Pub. Also a park for the children. You don't need to go anywhere! Though Mevagissey and Pentewan Sands are a 10 minute drive, and a walk to Carlyon Bay across the cliff path is recommended. The Cottage is beautiful and of an extremely high standard. This was our third visit and we hope to go back next year. Peter and Nichola are also really lovely.

Great place to stay, friendly but unobtrusive owners, very welcoming.. Brilliant choice of pubs and restaurants in village which is easy walking distance of cottage, and scenic cliff walks from harbour.

Hideaway Barn is a fabulous find and one we hope to be returning to.. The owners were helpful and on hand if needed but unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy. The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped - and Charlestown is charming. We loved every minute of our holiday.

Once we got settled in, we had time to appreciate the accommodation.. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. Very convenient for sightseeing. The owners were very friendly and kind. All round excellent place.

An absolutely wonderful holiday.. It was very straightforward to organise and directions to the property were very clear. The owners were there to greet us and show us round and there were lovely scones and clotted cream to welcome us; milk in the fridge and supplies of tea and coffee too. The accommodation was superb, beautifully and tastefully presented with everything you could possibly need. The bed was very comfortable the shower was nice and powerful and the WiFi was very reliable. The outside seating was a bonus ,especially on sunny mornings for breakfast. Parking on-site was easy. It was in a secluded place off the main street but only an easy 5 minute walk to the harbour with a wide choice of eateries. The was good access to the local buses and onward to the train station at St Austell. Many places can be reached using the local services and the Coastal Path is a matter of minutes away. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and had some good suggestions for visits - the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are ‘must see’ trips. Occasional visits from Mollie the cat were very welcome. We would not hesitate to return there when possible as there is much more to see and do and would highly recommend Hideaway Barn.

A very comfortable and well positioned holiday cottage.. The owners were extremely pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of eating places on your doorstep. A good place to stay.

We stayed for a week at Hideaway Barn and found it an ideal place to stay for a relaxing holiday. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. Only a short stroll from the harbour, sea and beach, pubs and restaurants. There are supermarkets nearby for all your shopping needs and plenty of places nearby to visit such as Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, Lanhydrock as well as other seaside resorts. We would not hesitate to return and would recommend it to everyone.
