The huge outdoor space at this contemporary villa caught our eye. There’s a well-kept lawn, a heated pool, hammocks and a shady dining area to enjoy, all with fantastic sea views. Inside, the open plan areas have been designed to let in lots of natural light and the decor is simple yet stylish. There’s even a private sauna here, which you don’t find in many Greek villas. And when you’re ready to explore, the nearest beach is within walking distance and the buzzing town of Heraklion is just a short drive away.Home truths:
