This home hits all the right notes when it comes to a slow-paced island escape. Located in the sleepy village of Mariou, this is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. There’s a private pool for leisurely swims and the terrace features a barbecue for alfresco dining. Inside, the rooms are minimal, simple and well suited to families. Both of the bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms and there are incredible views across the coast. You will need a car to get around, but it’s just a 4 kilometre drive to the nearest beach and amenities. It’s also a great base for exploring nearby Rethymno – 32 kilometres away.
