If you're looking for Greece without crowds of beachgoers, this rural villa just a short walk from the sandy beaches of Hersonissos is a perfect choice. Located in a remote spot, the port city of Heraklion is also just a quick drive away, giving you convenience without the noise of a beach resort. The villa itself is within a shared complex, although privacy is not a problem. It caught our eye for its generous outdoor space, with a swimming pool, sheltered garden and barbecue on the terrace. So you can soak up the sea views and surrounding natural beauty whilst enjoying a glass of wine on the balcony or lazing on sun loungers by the pool.

*Due to the location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay – there is free private parking on the premises
*This villa is spread over two floors with no internal lift, however, there is a double bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor
*The swimming pool, garden and poolside deck are shared with the other residents of the complex (made up of three villas)
*Your host can provide a travel cot and high chair for free upon request
*You'll need to bring your own toiletries with you to use during your stay
