Nestled in the heart of the Luberon Regional Park, this apartment gazes out across rolling countryside. The interiors are rustic and homely, with a few touches of grandeur – think chandeliers and romantically draped beds. You'll have access to two private terraces here – one for breakfast, the other for evening drinks – as well as use of the communal pool, barbecue and gardens dotted with olive trees and lavender. As for the location, you're just an eight-minute drive from Oppède-le-Vieux and ten minutes from Ménerbes.

Home truths:
*You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
*Your host provides a starter supply of coffee and toiletries, but you might want to bring your own to top this up. The nearest supermarket for stocking up is a twelve-minute drive away.
*While there are no in-unit laundry facilities here, you will find communal washing machines and dryers within the building.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*The swimming pool is only available for use from Easter until All Saints' Day, depending on weather conditions.
