Overview
Mimosa is a spacious, two-bedroom apartment with generous balconies located in one of the city's most elegant neighbourhoods. Newly decorated, this stylish third floor apartment with a lift is a relaxing getaway suitable for a family, friends or two couples. The hill of Cimiez is both very central but very peaceful, rising steeply up out of the hustle and bustle to provide splendid views in all directions. It was even given the royal stamp of approval by Queen Victoria as the place to spend your holidays.
Outside Space
You are spoilt for choice with balconies on all sides, offering you the choice of sun or shade throughout the day. The kitchen and dining area balconies have morning sunshine for an alfresco breakfast, while the bedroom balconies catch the afternoon rays. There is a dining table to seat four and a sofa and sun lounger for making the most of the spectacular terrace.
Neighbourhood
Along the leafy avenues and boulevards that characterise this area, you'll find numerous Belle Époque villas and ornate apartment buildings surrounded by lush and exuberant gardens. The hill is crowned by Le Régina completed in 1897 and built to satisfy the demands of Her Majesty who honored Nice with her presence for the next three springs. Matisse also enjoyed the open vistas and a museum in his memory is located close to the Roman amphitheater and Franciscan monastery close to the park Arènes des Cimiez. Don't miss the breath-taking views out over the Bay of Angels from the lovingly tended gardens.
Public Transport
There are several bus stops close to the apartment that will take you into the centre of town. Visit www.lignesdazur.com for more information.
Bedrooms
One of the bedrooms has a double bed and the other has a super king-size bed. Both bedrooms have a balcony, parquet floors, reading lamps, wardrobe space and reversible air-conditioning for complete comfort. There are views up to the mountains with the Mediterranean in the distance.
Bathrooms
Mimosa has two bathrooms with a toilet each; one with a rain shower, vanity basin and drawers, the other with a Jacuzzi bath, large basin and plenty of storage.
Living Area
Marble floors and a chic yet comfortable Habitat sofa welcome you into the living/dining area, which has sliding patio doors onto the terrace and overlooks a park. A large TV with French and English news channels will look after your entertainment needs, along with an Xbox for watching DVDs and a collection of films to choose from. There is also a music system, Wi-Fi and reversible air-conditioning. The wrought iron and glass dining table seats six so eating in can be as stylish as eating out should the fancy take you.
Kitchen
The kitchen is large and well maintained and it too opens out onto the balcony to offer the chef a brief moment of escape to admire the views. It offers an electric oven, four halogen hobs, a microwave, toaster, cafetière, kettle and a dishwasher. A washing machine and other laundry equipment is also available.
