This cottage-style villa has plenty of character – we particularly like the imposing fireplace in the lounge and the elevated library in the master bedroom. Outside there’s lots of greenery, with a plant-filled terrace and small, lawned garden to enjoy. While the swimming pool is on the small side, the pretty surroundings mean it’s still a pleasant place to cool off. Location wise, you’re close to the centre of Loumarin, often voted one of the most beautiful villages in France, where you’ll find cobbled streets, an array of cafes and restaurants, and a bustling, weekly market.
Home truths: *If you’re travelling with little ones, your host can provide a travel cot and highchair on request. The pool is 1.3m deep and unfenced so children will need to be supervised at all times.
*Dogs are welcome here on request – please contact your host to arrange.
*The villa has a spiral staircase so it won’t be the best option for those with limited mobility.
*There’s no desk here but the dining table can double up as a laptop-friendly workspace.
