Chez Canard

Beautiful, but in reality, it was dirty and not as pictured. The house smelled of kerosene. Small pool, and behind the pool, a ravine and rubble...

The house is quiet and secluded and has everything you need. Internet access is limited. Wi-Fi is not available. A larger grocery store is only 20 minutes away. The accommodation is clean. Knowledge of French is an advantage, as English is hardly spoken in the region.

A very beautiful and lovingly designed house. Air conditioning would have been important, as would fly screens on the windows. Otherwise, everything is perfect for people who enjoy some solitude. A very friendly welcome from S., the property manager. Thank you very much, we had a great week.

An idyllically located, quiet retreat, perfect for unwinding. The apartment had a few minor blemishes; we had to do a bit of cleaning here and there ourselves, and insect lovers are in the right place here. The pool lost some of its shine after a few days, and there were brief power and water outages. But the heart of this accommodation are the wonderful hosts: warm, attentive, and immediately available. Thanks to them, we felt completely in good hands despite minor issues.

The house is large and very lovingly and tastefully furnished. The conservatory is particularly beautiful. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, as well as two large refrigerators and a freezer. The beds are comfortable. There's plenty of space. The house has no air conditioning, and it was very hot in the rooms. Ventilation was difficult because there are no fly screens and there are a lot of mosquitoes. Unfortunately, there isn't enough shade around the house.

The house is located in the forest and is easily accessible by car. It is surrounded by a large, beautiful garden with olive trees, flowers, and a small pool. The house has everything you need. It's not luxurious, but everything is very pleasant. Thank you!

If you want peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Rustic house with everything you need. A few minutes from the very charming village of Ampus (best bakery in the world, nice people). Not for people who need constant contact with the outside world, no wifi and only sporadic cell phone reception. Overall nice, but you have to like it. We liked it.

We spent two wonderful, quiet weeks at Chez Canard. You have to bear in mind that it is a very old house that is very individually decorated with many old objects. You shouldn't expect modern luxury, but everything you need for an individual holiday is there. Since the house is very remote, the additional large refrigerator with a larger freezer compartment is very convenient, so that you can plan well in advance when shopping.

Located in the middle of the forest, about 2.5 km by car on a narrow "road" that leads to paradise, we spent wonderful days in the green Provence. At night, wild boars sniffed around the garden looking for something to eat, but otherwise we didn't come across any wild animals.
