Men Meur

The house was big and spacious, you had everything you needed. The location is phenomenal and Guilvinec has everything you need. I would go back anytime!

We had two wonderful weeks in the Men Meur holiday home. Madame LG is very friendly and reliable. The location right on the beach is sensational. The house itself is big, there is plenty of space, the beds are comfortable, everything is clean, the showers are a treat, the kitchen is equipped with everything. Every evening we ate dinner on the terrace and enjoyed the sunset for dessert. Then we ended the day on the loungers on the covered balcony.

Fluent French language skills are required, deposit requested as a check. Kitchen faucet still broken. Beds, couch, toilet, "deck chairs", garden bench very uncomfortable for taller people. Long-pile carpet in dining area unhygienic (dogs not excluded). Lighting inadequate (hallway on 1st floor, bedside lamps not always connectable). Small ants in dining area when taken over. Shower on ground floor moldy. Patio door lock too short ("broom handle").

The location of the house in the front line with a view to the west is very nice. The parking lot in front of the house and the thoroughfare in front of the house caused some noise. The house was very spacious and had everything you needed. Some shortcomings were that the faucet on the sink fell out when operated unprofessionally, but could be reinserted, the freezer compartment also did not close and the refrigerator iced up. The landlady was aware of both, as we found out on the last day.

A wonderful position overlooking the beach. Facing west, the house is flooded with light at sunset. Guilvinec is a very interesting town - highlights are the fishing trawlers daily return to port at 4pm and the market (Sun and Tues) esp the fromagerie and charcuterie vans. The house is quite comfortable though the bedrooms are a little sparse. There was some confusion with the host asking 25 Euros cash for electricity on arrival, when it was actually included in the rental.
