This is the second time we've visited the cottage, I'm not sure if it's been sold or there's a new management /cleaning company looking after the property but it feels a bit neglected this visit.
BE WARNED there is a new campsite set up in the field just behind the cottage, they enter from the gate right near the bedroom window so we have kept the curtains closed the whole time.
The cleaning before we arrived consisted of a wipe over but they forgot to wipe the extractor hood. The cups, plates and other kitchen equipment hadn't been checked and were all dirty and needed washing before we could use anything.
The garden is overgrown with brambles poking onto the narrow pathway which is very painful, the washing line is rendered useless with the hedge growing through it, the beautiful communal BBQ area is half finished and now looks a bit derelict.
It is NOT suitable for 4 adults, we are very cramped, the new seating in the living area is uncomfortable and fits 3 adults max, the 4th person will have to be happy sitting on the floor.
On our last visit we saw the lovely owner every day pottering around the garden with the gardeners and assistants, there is no one around caring for the gardens this time which makes me think it's under new ownership, we won't be returning to this cottage again sadly.
