This is the second time we've visited the cottage, I'm not sure if it's been sold or there's a new management /cleaning company looking after the property but it feels a bit neglected this visit. BE WARNED there is a new campsite set up in the field just behind the cottage, they enter from the gate right near the bedroom window so we have kept the curtains closed the whole time. The cleaning before we arrived consisted of a wipe over but they forgot to wipe the extractor hood. The cups, plates and other kitchen equipment hadn't been checked and were all dirty and needed washing before we could use anything. The garden is overgrown with brambles poking onto the narrow pathway which is very painful, the washing line is rendered useless with the hedge growing through it, the beautiful communal BBQ area is half finished and now looks a bit derelict. It is NOT suitable for 4 adults, we are very cramped, the new seating in the living area is uncomfortable and fits 3 adults max, the 4th person will have to be happy sitting on the floor. On our last visit we saw the lovely owner every day pottering around the garden with the gardeners and assistants, there is no one around caring for the gardens this time which makes me think it's under new ownership, we won't be returning to this cottage again sadly.

What a lovely location. Overlooking the bay the cottage has an elevated view over the coast. Quiet, peaceful, a nice place to sit and chill. Though we toured the coastal villages and towns it's nice to return to peace and quiet. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Nice to stop for a chat. You can spend your time watching the wildlife visiting the garden. Some stunning scenery. Either coastal views or inland. Pretty villages, friendly people.

This is a terrific property tucked away in its own extensive grounds/garden.West Bexington village centre is a 5 minute walk away, here is The Manor pub /restaurant serving good food at sensible prices, plus real ales and a great draught cider! A further 5 minute walk from here will take you down to the shingle beach with beach bar and restaurant. The beach really isnt that good for swimmiing as there is often a lot of beach fishing going on and the beach shelves quite steeply into the sea.Back to the cottage itself,it was spotlessly clean and well equipped. There is however no shop in West Bexington, the nearest convenience store is a a couple of miles away in Burton Bradstock. The nearest supermarket is a further couple of miles along the coast in Bridport.

The cottage was very cosy, very peaceful, and in very pleasant surroundings.. Views were lovely and the cottage was conveniently situated for eating and drinking out if you didn't want to eat in.

We had the most wonderful holiday, the cottage was everything we dreamed of and so picturesque.. The little details including the useful information folder made our trip very personal and we cannot wait to return.

Nice clean cottage with everything you need for a short break, which we enjoyed with our two dogs.. If a part of the large garden could be fenced off then it would have been better for us as dogs had to be on leads the whole time. Great location to explore west Dorset and really cosy pub in the village.

There was a problem at the cottage we had originally booked but we were offered an upgrade of another cottage at the same location for no extra cost.. It was an excellent alternative. The owner also called us that evening to make sure that everything was ok, which it was. The view out to sea was amazing and the cottage was extremely comfortable. We had a fantastic stay.
