A small cabin with limited space, but otherwise excellent..

I had a fabulous holiday in Wiltshire.. I went out and explored the surrounding areas by car and my foot. The cabin was beautiful and had everything I needed for my stay. A really lovely place and Janet was so kind. I was left a bottle of wine and chocolates for when I arrived. Wonderful place and will definitely look to go back again in the future. I would recommend this lovely cabin in the gorgeous Wiltshire countryside.

Lovely log cabin, very cosy and comfortable.. A lovely place to come back to at the end of the day and relax - we loved seeing the ponies when we got back too! Great facilities and good use of the small space. Hosts were really helpful and generous. A good location for seeing all the historic sights in the area, shops only a short drive away.

A small really clean well equipped cabin.. Very rural with good dog walks locally. The owners who live on site are very friendly and deal with any issues quickly and professionally.

This place was great, polite and friendly owner, it was exactly what we needed for a half term break, (no screaming kids .. ..lol) nice big bed, large telly, aircon that worked perfectly on hot and cold settings, we arrived in our 5 tonne motor home and were pleased that they had lots of space to park and even turn round on site to make the exit even easier, great tree lined area for dog walks just over the road, out of 5 stars we would rate this 6, we will be back very soon many thanks.

Conifers directly outside the cabin were overbearing fast growing varieties and need to be taken out.. Unfortunately the newly built wall with gates not built far enough set back. Car is left out into narrow road whilst opening and closing the gates blocking traffic and people in cars with no time to wait. Would have liked a couple of egg cups ! Other than that the place was lovely and very clean with a very decent size TV.

Some more local information, with maybe a small map of the local area would have been good.. Opening and closing the front gate is a problem as it leaves your car stranded in the middle of the road. Other than that the log Cabin was an enjoyable stay and lots of sightseeing in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Log Cabin in Bushton.. We booked in for a week with our 2 Beagles, and I was expecting something rather basic as we were allowed to have the dogs with us. However, when we arrived, we went into the cabin which had all of the facilities needed, it was super clean, and very comfortable. There was also air conditioning which was fab in such hot weather, a washing machine and a decent sized fridge freezer. The Proprietors are lovely people and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We have just returned from a lovely week break at the lodge, the facilities were very clean, the lodge is relaxing and the owners of the site were very friendly, professional and helpful the lodge exceeded our expectation.. Very comfortable, relaxing and have a lovely "feel". We had everything provided that we needed, as dog owners, we have never felt so welcome. This is a true little gem of a site and we would thoroughly recommend this site to dog owners. The walks near the site are beautiful, woods, fields, etc. We look forward to visiting again.

We recently spent 5 nights in this lovely accommodation and it suited us perfectly. It is quaint, quiet, private, clean, very well equipt and the owners were great. Nothing was too much trouble. I was amazed to hear that the couple who stayed previously had 3 dogs. There was absolutely no sign of this when we arrived. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning system saved us in the heat wave and the huge wide screen TV was a real bonus. We loved having our coffee on the little porch each morning and wandering across the car park to visit the 2 beautiful ponies that are stabled there. The closest amenities are approximately 2 miles away so a car is definitely recommended. Having said that, it is situated less than an hour from Bath, about the same to Cotswolds Wildlife Park (a must visit destination if you are in the area) and just 20 minutes from Swindon. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again if we are ever in the area.

Although on the small side, the cabin was perfectly adequate for 2 people.. The bed was comfortable (memory foam),good shower and kitchen facilities. Location was good base for travelling to Avebury and Bath. Good parking space right outside cabin. The 'B' roads are wide enough for 2 cars in the area.

Wife, Dog, and me took a seven day break in one of two detached cabins in the grounds of the owners complex. The location is great if you want P & Q and you are willing to make your own entertainment because you have to travel to find Pubs, and Supermarkets etc., The owners provide two cabins which are very well appointed; our cabin was the smallest of the two (1 x Bedroom) next door the larger cabin (illustrated) is the better option nevertheless our residence suited us perfectly. Why then would this not suite everyone? The Cabins are located in the Car Park of a Converted Pub (The Trotting Horse) as a consequence there is no real outside space on site for you to enjoy. Also the views from the Cabins are not great as they look out on to the Car Park. On the plus side the Cabins are very clean, and very nicely appointed, seriously good bed, more or less all of what you need is provided, Free Wifi, Freeview TV, and the owners are very helpful and friendly. The owners have two Ponies stabled close by and also have Ducks and Chickens so be prepared for related noises. If we visit Wiltshire again we would have no reservations about staying here again.

Good place, but only thing is that there is not anywhere at property to take dog to toilet.. You have to take dog out onto busy country road and along to field to walk dog. Late night walk before bed needs a torch.

Extremely good value for money.. Very warm welcome received at the chalet and enjoyed every minute.

March 2017
Advised dog friendly but wanted you to take your dog to the field opposite to go to the toilet.. Not something we wanted to do late at night or first thing in the morning. Also no local information for walks or attractions left in the cottage.

It was a lovely cosy cabin with everything you could need for a relaxing holiday.. The weather was very wet and we were not able to go walking in the surrounding areas, however it was vety eady to drive to Royal Wooton Bassett

The property is modern and clean and the owners were very welcoming and helpful. Take a bag of carrots for the resident ponies! The dog was also made welcome and there were plenty of places to walk them. There are local takeaways that will deliver and the nearby pubs serve excellent food.

The Chalet is a lovely, clean kept accommodation and was great for our dog. The owner was very welcoming upon arrival at the chalet and gave us a nice showing around the accommodation. Our dog suffers with juvenile arthritis and the chalet is all 1 level which made it easy for him to get around and for us to be able to keep an eye on him. Overall, The Chalet was a great little stay and we would definitely return there again.
