Deep within the Suffolk countryside close to England's east coastline lies this pair of conjoined cottages. Each has its own living room, kitchen and private patio, which give visiting parties that little bit of added flexibility. The interior design is similar in both, with a pleasing mix of the old and new — we're talking wooden ceiling beams next to sleek white kitchens and pristine bathrooms. If you're here during the winter months, there's a wood-burner in each house, but if the sunshine makes an appearance, there's a private tennis court on the premises that guests are welcome to use. Further afield, Captain's Wood nature reserve can be reached in half an hour on foot — or three minutes in the car — while Aldeburgh Beach is seventeen minutes' drive away.
Home truths: *There's free parking for one car on the premises — please note that charging electric cars is forbidden
*The cottages are spread across one level
*Upon request, the host might be able to set up a sofa bed in one of the cottages to sleep an extra two guests
*The tennis court is open seasonally and needs to be requested — guests should also bring their own balls and racquets
*A starter supply of firewood for the log burners is provided and more is available to purchase on-site
*The king-size beds can be arranged as twins if preferred
*One well-behaved dog is allowed as long as it's kept on a lead in the garden — they will incur an additional fee of £5 per day
*Cots are available upon request
