Very nice cottage, just 30 yards to the beach.. Good facilities, comfortable beds, excellent Wi-Fi and TV. Well recommended. The steep stairs are mentioned in the description, but I think it needs to be added in particular that the bottom of the stairs are on a turn with narrow steps. We were fine with them but I'm sure some might find them difficult. Parking also could be an issue at busy times, we were ok and were able to park in the square at the bottom of the road every time.

Loved the location and proximity to the seafront as well as High Street & shops.. Deal is a very pretty town with artisan shops and galleries. There are plenty of places to eat and interesting pubs. We hired bikes and cycled along the seafront to the cliffs of Dover.

Fabulous cosy little cottage that kept us and our glfuve year old comfortable and amused during our three night stay.. It's a very quaint and charming cottage centrally located a stone's throw away from the seafront and a short walk to the town's high street. The only negatives were that there are two sets of steep stairs going to the rooms and the bathroom is located downstairs. Aside from this, this quaint cottage was perfect in every way. Thank you Mark for making our stay so homely and comfortable

A wonderful home from home.. Everything you would need for a short or long stay. Very clean and comfortable. A quirky and interesting cottage with all amenities within easy walking distance. We only stayed for 4 nights but could have been there a lot longer.

It lacked kitchen utensils and in general needed a complete repaint through out.. Its all very well taking £500.00 a week which is ok but it should be in top order for that money

Unfortunately there was no hot water on our arrival but the owner kept us fully informed of the situation and offered us compensation as well as fulsome apologies.. The hot water was back on the following day. Cottage suited us very well and the memory foam mattress very comfortable - very much want to get one now!

Lovely cosy cottage in a great location.. We spent a great week there over Christmas and the tree and decorations were much appreciated. Easy walking distance to the town centre and some lovely pubs and restaurants. Sunday lunch at the Bohemian was a highlight. The beds were really comfortable and the log burner made the evenings really cosy. We didn’t have any trouble finding a parking space nearby. It’s maybe worth noting that the fridge is quite small. Probably not normally an issue unless you get carried away with a large Xmas sainsbury delivery. There is a garden/pet shop just round the corner where you can buy top up logs and kindling and a handy corner shop within 5 mins walk.

We had a fabulous time at Seashell Cottage, location was superb, the cottage had everything we needed.. One tiny observation was that a coffee table would have been nice to pop our nibbles on in the eve!! Would definitely recommend and would very much like to return. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

The cottage is wonderful and so near the sea that you can smell it! We had a great holiday a big part of that was the location of the cottage in the old part of town and across the road from the sea, as well as the quaintness of the cottage. Yes the ceilings are low, stairs tight, but all as expected. No parking outside but hey, loads of free paring to the north of the street, never was an issue. Deal is lovely, loads to see, loads of pubs and restaurants. Perfectly sited to explore Kent. We went to Ramsgate, Margate, Canterbury, Dover, plus lots of smaller villages. Caught the last gasp of summer, could not have been better.

A simply wonderful place, literally seconds from the beach.. Had all I needed for the week. Comfortable, well-equipped, light and airy, access to courtyard (not that need it with beach so close!). Excellent cottage. Deal is a friendly place and easily struck up conversations with people.. Peaceful but with just enough going on to keep interest for the week.

If you want to stay in a beautiful, traditional Deal fishermans cottage where you can hear the sea, then this fits the picture perfectly. We enjoyed the local life, good market on a Saturday, fabulous local ales and great food. Very relaxing

The location and proximity to the beach, the town, pubs, bars and restaurants. I thought that the cottage was great. The welcome folder was really helpful and interesting. The contact from the owner regarding the key details was really informative. If you love beach cottages then this is perfect, a really homely place to spend a sunny weekend. I would definitely recommend and revisit.

I booked this place for my mum and dad for the week me and my family visited for the weekend. I must say, what a wonderful place to stay, what more do you need when you just open the door and you are on the beach, my kids enjoyed that very much. I must say how peaceful the setting is too. I will be booking again for my family to visit next year sometime.

Deal is a pretty little village with many extras - High Street of the year 2013! From our cottage we had everything within walking distance. The beach right in front of our doorstep!

November 2013
The location was perfect, close to the sea and all the charm of the superbly conserved old town of Deal. A great choice of pubs and restaurants. The residents and traders go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The cottage is full of character, cosy and comfortable. Our grandchildren loved its romance and particularly the two staircases. Had the weather permitted we would have loved to make use of the courtyard. During our stay there were particularly high winds, we felt very safe in a cottage that must have weathered many storms. We hope to return again.

Welcoming atmosphere of the cottage with brilliant décor. Guests' every need had been catered for by the owners. We particularly liked the little courtyard behind the cottage, it was perfect for a glass of wine, or eating al fresco on a warm day. We are definitely going to return for another stay in the future. We have no complaints at all.
