Holiday home Heron is a single-storey property consisting of an open-plan living space with kitchen equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, a dining area with seating for four guests and a sitting room with sofa bed, TV and electric fire. The bedrooms consist of a double and a twin, serviced by a shower room. Outside there is a private decking area with furniture, and parking is available. Within 5.2 miles you will find a shop and within 0.7 miles, a pub. Sorry, pets not allowed, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Area The pleasant village of Shobdon lies between the historic market towns of Leominster and Presteigne, and is surrounded by beautiful Herefordshire countryside, close to the Welsh borderlands. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, Shobdon has a village shop, an excellent pub/restaurant, and even a private airfield, providing a rare opportunity to learn how to fly helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. Leominster, dating back to the 7th century possesses some fine examples of architecture including the Priory Church, along with a wide selection of shops, cafes, antiques centres and pubs - an ideal place to spend an afternoon. Close by are many National Trust properties including Croft Castle and Berrington Hall, plus the Judge's Lodgings in Presteigne, Stokesay Castle, the renowned Shropshire Discovery Centre and the Acton Scott Historic Farm. Sample Herefordshire's cider or discover Hereford with its fascinating Mappa Mundi world map and the captivating chained library, home to a collection of rare and ancient books. The pretty medieval market town of Ludlow is also close by and makes a great day out, with more than 500 listed buildings and a magnificent castle.
