Area Stretton is a small village, situated three and half miles from Alfreton in Derbyshire. The village is home to two convenience stores and a pub, The White Bear, serving a hearty menu and selection of ales. The charming town of Alfreton, home to The Midland Railway (Butterley), which is a must-visit for train enthusiasts, is nearby, whilst Alfreton Park offers a serene escape with its picturesque landscapes and peaceful atmosphere. Further north lies the historic market town of Chesterfield, acting as the gateway to the Peak District and has plenty to offer visitors. Access into the national park can also be gained by travelling via Matlock, with plenty of attractions to suit all preferences, including Lumsdale Waterfall for outdoor enthusiasts, Matlock Bath Aquarium and Gulliver's Kingdom for all the family, and the Heights of Abraham cable car and attraction, recommended for the explorers of your group, also offering cavern tours and fossil exhibits.
