The Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site, which goes through the village, is designated to include all of the coastline between Burgh-by-Sands to Ravenglass. This picturesque area, which is rich in history, is home to St. Michael's Church and The Western Tower, which is thought to date from the fourteenth century. While Thurstonfield has a lovely tiny lake, the adjoining community of Boustead Hill will take you past farmland and wonderful homes.
