Area The rural village of Arlecdon lies in peaceful countryside, just a stone's throw from the western border of the Lake District National Park. Offering the basic amenities, the village has a highly-regarded pub serving food, as well as a small shop and Post Office. It also boasts a 19th century, Grade II listed church. There is something for everybody in the local area; head just five miles west and reach the well-stocked coastal town of Whitehaven which has a wide variety of high-quality amenities as well as a choice of fascinating museums and a picturesque marina. Slightly north is brings you to the old market town of Cockermouth which makes for a lovely day out. One of the Lake District's more popular towns, Keswick, is a little over 20 miles away, visit this market town for a wealth of charming shops and eateries.
