Area
Situated in the southern Lake District and just a few short miles from the coastal estuary and the seaside town of Grange-over-Sands is the small village of Lindale. With a true 'Lakeland feel', due to its narrow streets, traditional dwellings and quaint old pubs, this charming village is positioned on the slopes of Hampsfield Fell. The coastal resorts of Arnside and Grange are worth a visit, whilst the pretty town of Cartmel - with its famous annual horse race meetings - offers plenty to see. Lake Windermere and the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead are only a short drive away and still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many visitors. The fabulous countryside which surrounds Lindale also provides exceptional walking and cycling opportunities.

Region
Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Gas central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, WiFi, TV with Freeview, DVD, selection of books, games and DVDs. The cottage is in a great location and the owners provided leaflets with really good walks in and around the village.. The cottage was very cosy - we especially loved the log burner.

A no nonsense comfortable home from home with fairly basic no frills facilities.. A little frustrating not getting any mobile or 4g signal during stay - If only i knew the nearby schools password ! The greatest asset in the wettest August week ever was the tumble dryer. Very quiet village.

This quaint little house is in a beautiful village.. It was clean and tidy. Peaceful. I slept very well. The lake district was great. We had wonderful weather with no rain or cold days. I would have liked a cold day to be able to use the lovely log burner. Highly recommended this cottage

Only bugbear was no ensuite .. .. but hey it's a stone cottage, at least it was inside lol. We slept well, kitchen well facilitated (I like to cook), shower if a little small (I am a bit heavy) was hot and fast flowing and the time we spent in the cottage was very comfortable. Not sure what else to say except I will check avaliabilitg of Cragg Cottage 1st next time we come this way, nuff said.

Windermere is definitely worth a visit. The cottage was cosy and a home from home with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. We had a lovely honeymoon and would highly recommend. Thank you to the owners.

This the second time that we have stayed at this property. The property Lindale are in a beautiful location. The property is in a quiet location but has good access to the road network that makes it an ideal base to explore the Lakes, Morecombe Bay with the Yorkshire Dales Hadrians Wall within reach. For walkers there are some beautiful walks at hand and for the less adventurous enough attractions nearby. Once again came back refreshed from the stresses stains of modern living.

Excellent cottage, has a very old look to it and is located in a charming little village. Absolutely loved the peace and quiet that went with the surroundings. The place was very clean and all essential cutlery and crockery were present.

The fireplace was a highlight. The house was very warm and we were allowed to adapt the heating time to our needs. There was lots of information about local surroundings. Quiet area with the basics at your doorstep.
