Holiday home
Coopers Cottage is a stone barn conversion a mile from Egton in the North York Moors National Park. The cottage has a first floor twin while on the ground floor is a double bedroom with basin, a bathroom, galley kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with electric fire. Outside is ample off road parking and a rear patio with furniture. Coopers Cottage makes a wonderful year-round base for enjoying the walking and scenery of the moors, or heading to the pretty towns and villages of the coast.

Mainly ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double bed with basin, 1 x first floor twin. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area. Separate out-house. Sitting room with electric stove.

Area
The village of Egton is set in the North York Moors. Between them, the villages of Egton and Egton Bridge have four pubs, a shop and garage. Egton Bridge is one of Yorkshire's prettiest villages, positioned on the River Esk in a steep sided valley. It is also well situated to explore the North York Moors and Whitby.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful area.. It was peaceful and cosy and very clean. Lots to do and explore within a short drive. Whitby, Staithes, Runswick Bay, Robin Hood’s Bay all worth a visit. Also we drove through the moors national park to Fountains Abbey: amazing! The owners were friendly and had thought of everything we would need.

This is the 3rd time we've stayed at Coopers Cottage and everything was as great as normal.. Cottage was cleaned to a high standard, kitchen contained all the utensils and kit you could want for a week away. Owners were as welcoming as usual and were clear on the changes made due to Covid due to arrival so that we could bring extra games with us. All in all a great week away.

The accommodation was better than advertised and the host was first class.. The views from the property are stunning. Would definitely recommend this property and would also stay there again ourselves. Loved seeing the nearby farm animals and wildlife and hearing the cockerels. It’s a very relaxing place to just chill out but at the same time you are not far from the local and main towns.

Excellent, cosy cottage in a breath-taking setting.. On arrival, the owners had left tea, biscuits and even Easter eggs for my boys - which went down a treat! The cottage is only a short distance to Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and of course Whitby for those all important fish & chips! We'd definitely stay here again, after a fantastic Easter break.

Lovely cottage with outstanding views over the Rye Valley.. The drive along the one vehicle width road to get to it isn't for the fainthearted though.

Everything was excellent.. cottage was beautiful and clean. Home from home everything you can ask for was there in this cottage. It was quiet and amazing. Very helpful owners and the information in the property regarding the surrounding area was very helpful.

The couple that run the farm were very pleasant and amiable and would do whatever there clients required.. The pub they advised us on was just a short distance away was called the Witching post. Was magic. Very much appreciated.

The road/lanes in and out to the cottage are very narrow in places and passing areas are few and far between.. The estimated distance to the public houses are double the distance advertised in the brochure, certainly would not walk to either of the pubs. A perfect accomodation to visit areas of interest in north yorkshire, views from the cottage are stuning. Ample car parking for numerous vehicles. We had beautiful weather which made the holiday most enjoyable.

Delightful cottage with a wonderful view. Everything you need for a comfortable stay included, plus a warm welcome from the attentive landlady. Whitby 10-15 mins away depending on what kind of driver you are. We hope to return one day.

The accomodation was delightful.. I would suggest that some of the pots and pans and glass cooking dishes are getting past their best and some should be renewed. That is a minor matter but would help the excellent overall immaculate standard of the property Wonderful location with stunning views from the lounge window.
