Coast View is a wonderful apartment for exploring the North York Moors National Park and North Yorkshire's beautiful coastline. The apartment is set on the ground floor of a Georgian building, with one double bedroom, a shower room and an open plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area in a floor-to-ceiling bay window, as well as a sitting area. There is roadside parking available with a scratch card-style permit and with a short walk to Scarborough's amenities and fun, lively seafront. A wonderful base for couples in Scarborough looking for a lively, fun-filled seaside getaway.

The lively seaside town of Scarborough has many fascinating historic buildings, a castle, beautiful gardens and peaceful parks. The town has been hugely popular with visitors ever since the 19th century, and people still flock to Scarborough for its beautiful North and South bays and their splendid sandy golden beaches. The traditional seaside entertainments, busy promenade, shops and restaurants and visitor attractions including the theatre combine to provide something for everyone who wants a happy, fun holiday in a traditional seaside location. Venture further afield to the dramatic Moors, visit the quaint fishing village of Robin Hoods Bay or explore the market towns away from the coast such as Pickering and Malton to complete your relaxing holiday.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable.. It is in a great position close to the sea and there are local shops 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Gillian was brilliant. We spoke on the phone when I arrived and she made sure that I knew where everything was in the flat, she even called me after my holiday to ask me how I got on. That personal touch makes a big difference. I would definitely recommend staying at Coast View if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay in a great location.

The property is well positioned and both North bay and South bay are easily accessible.. The flat is comfortable. The kitchen area and the bathroom are both quite small and space is limited. The majority of what is needed however is in the kitchen and plenty of towels were provided. We really enjoyed our stay. The dining table is placed in the bay window which gives a view of the sea. It can be difficult to find a place to park on the road where the property is but imagine that gets easier away from high season. A parking permit is required (which are left in the property) and allows you to park in nearby streets. Traffic wardens do patrol and leave penalty notices so don't be tempted to leave the car without a valid permit in it!

Coast View was beautifully presented by the very helpful, attentive & hfriendly owner, Gillian.. The flat is a short walk from Scarborough Town Centre but also located overlooking the North Bay with easy access for walking to other features and the South Bay. Gillian’s advice on local matters was very welcome and useful, as were the changes of bedding, towels etc. halfway way through our 2 week stay. Despite the consecutive weather storms, we were very warm & comfortable!

Lovely flat in a great location in Scarborough.. 10 minutes walk to town centre and about 15 to the main seafront. The flat is warm and cozy and cleaned to a high standard with everything provided that you could need, it’s compact but makes a good use of the available space. The bed is comfy and there is plenty of storage in the bedroom. The owner was great to deal with, always available and left some lovely welcome gifts. She was also very helpful in what were very difficult circumstances for us when she had no obligation to do so. 5 stars all round from us.

Being between North & South Beach Coast View was in the perfect position to explore Scarborough.. The flat was warm and comfortable and afforded a view of North Beach from the dining area. The property and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. Gillian was a lovely welcoming host, living locally she is knowledgeable and is able to answer any questions about the area regarding eating out and attractions. It showed that she cared for her property and made sure we had everything to enjoy our stay at Coast View. The shared entrance and hallway was clean and tidy. A car parking zone permit and a disc for other zones was provided and we found, albeit late in the season no issues with parking.

Coast View is a lovely flat, very clean and well appointed.. The flat is in a great position with a sea view and easy access to shops, pubs and eating places. There is ample street parking with scratch card parking permits provided by the owner Gillian, who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Thoroughly recommended!

Coast View was amazing, we cannot recommend it enough! The property is in a great location with the beach and castle only a few minutes walk away. The flat was spotless and very comfortable. Gillian was so lovely - we unfortunately didn't get to meet her in person but she made us feel so welcome throughout our visit. We hope to return next year!

The flat was fine and clean apart from the carpet which ran through out the bedroom, living room and passageway.. This was very grubby, looked like it had been cleaned but was stained over large areas. A shame as it really put me off the flat, the rest of which was clean and well decorated.

Coastal View was well situated and I was provided with parking scratch cards which allowed me to park on the streets surrounding it.. Owner Gillian met me at the property and took time out to tell me about local places to visit. The facilities of the property were faultless and very thoughtful. The decor was cosy and relaxing. I spent a really enjoyable week here and would not hesitate to recommend it. Thank you Gillian and Sykes Holidays.

Perfect place for a getaway, right next to the beach with a lovely view from the dining room window.. Close to shops, town centre and pubs. Very lovely place with a super helpful host who gave us all the information needed upon arrival! Would definitely visit again!

Having spent 6 nights over Xmas there with my Fiance, our first time away from the family at Xmas, it was perfect! ! The apartment itself is ideal for a lovely relaxing getaway for two. It has everything you need, was spotlessly clean, comfortable, decorated to a lovely standard & we didn't need anything other than our personal belongings & shopping. Parking permits were also included so no need need to worry that either. A 10 min walk into town, a lovely pub 'The Scarborough Arms' 2 mins round the corner, nice walks to the castle & round the tops & lovely & quiet. Gillian the owner genuinely couldn't do enough for us & she made our stay feel like we were 'home'. We would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting a nice relaxing break & we can't wait to go back.

Excellent welcome on arrival with coffee, tea, cookies and milk supplied.. Free parking all week. Perfect location no more than 10 minute walk from town centre and both beaches. Apartment comfortable and quiet. Brilliant shower.

Very nice apartment, brilliant location.. Gillian was a great host, everything you need was included, milk, sugar, coffee, washing up liquid, etc and also there is paid parking outside the flat and Gillian supplied these free of charge. Highly recommended.

This apartment is in a fantastic location and is well recommended.. It was very clean and well presented and contained all the facilities required for your stay. Whilst parking is provided, I was able to use my Blue Badge in the disc zone, and parking was available to me every night. Scarborough itself is a great place for a weeks stay and we really enjoyed it. A fantastic stay we really loved. Thank you so much.

The apartment was spotless, bed very comfortable and Gillian the owner could not have done more to make our break.. The downfall and I am so sorry to say this for Gillian, she is a lovely lady, is that the promotion for this apartment is very misleading and I believe Gillian has no part in this. Yes there is a sea view, up the street and through the right hand side of the bay window and it is just the rails and cars and a bit of sea. Not what I expected. I should have know better than book with Sykes having past experience with you. Let down yet again. So sorry Gillian because you were wonderful and could not have done more.

Everything you could wish for in an apartment.. Comfy sofa, TV with built in DVD. Broadband connection was excellent. Bed was lovely and comfy and so were the pillows. Kitchen facilities were excellent, everything was provided, plenty of plates, cutlery, saucepans and baking trays etc. Added bonus was tea/coffee/sugar and other essential were provided, as were things like oil, salt and pepper, sauce etc. Washing up liquid/paper towels/sponges and cleaning products supplied. Gillian was a great hostess and advised of things like the rubbish and recycling and how to use the heating etc. Only thing we had a problem with was the key safe outside the front door, a little bit old and fiddly and needs updating to a digital/push button key safe. Excellent place to stay.
