Very warm cottage, quiet and peaceful..

We were delighted with this beautiful cottage, and the very warm welcome from the owners, PJ and Sadie.. We stayed there during a cold and extremely windy week in March, but the cottage was so warm and welcoming, it was a pleasure to return each evening to relax and unwind in this amazing home away from home. It must be even more amazing in the summer months. I would highly recommend Cappacurry Lodge for the beauty and peace of the cottage itself, and for the central location of it to one of the most beautiful and scenic regions of Ireland.

this cottage is just the right size for a couple or small family. It is about 3 km out of Ballinrobe town which has a Tesco and supervalu for shopping, and a petrol station nearby. There is a wide range of places within easy reach of Ballinrobe, although there isn't much in the town itself. There are 2 bathrooms in it, one ensuite with a power shower. On the down side, there were cobwebs everywhere when we arrived which didn't tally with the guest book saying it had been rented 10 days before we arrived.

The owner was very friendly and very helpful, making us feel very welcome and giving some great suggestions of places to go in the area. The cottage is lovely and homely and very central for seeing in and around Mayo, Galway and Connemara.

Very spacious yet cosy. Decor was very well done and the owners were gracious. We loved being on/close to a working farm. Beautiful sunrise and sunset - great relaxing stay.
