A beautiful cottage in a peaceful location, in a stunning part of Anglesey. Very well presented with all the home comforts you would require for a comfortable stay. Perfect location for a cycle ride on Lon Las down to Llanddwyn which is always magical. Both Sykes Cottages and the owner Fiona provided a very friendly and reliable and helpful service. Would thoroughly recommend.

Our stay at Bwythn Megan has been a perfect family holiday to say the least.. The idyllic cottage really catered for everyone in our family. The separate lounges are a godsend, allowing the kids to be kids and the adults some much needed recharge after a glorious day. The kitchen was equipped with every item needed to ensure our self catering holiday was as smooth sailing as cooking at home. The bedrooms are what you'd hope them to be, lovely and quiet, perfect for a good night's sleep - the beds are extremely comfortable! The garden was secluded from the neighbours, and the area itself is so quiet and calm, it was a joy to be outside. The corner shop at the end of the road was handy to have, rather than a trip to the supermarket. Of which there are 3 supermarkets within 10mins drive. The location of Bwythn Megan could not be more ideal. With the beach and forest a 10min drive away, the car museum just down the road, the sea life zoo around the corner... Amazing. We found that where ever we drove from this little slice of heaven was surrounded by breathtaking views. The owners of the property are faultless, they really made sure our visit was stress-free and relaxing. Needless to say we had a fantastic holiday, and I'm not quite sure that we'd have had the same experience if we had booked else where.

Our family of 4 (plus our dog) enjoyed a wonderful stay at this cottage.. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The fire made the lounge area so comfortable and having another reception room was a great bonus. The kitchen had everything we needed as we cooked and ate in most nights. There’s a local shop at the end of the street that has all the essentials. The beds were really comfortable. But our favourite thing was the hot tub! We used this cottage as a base for exploring Anglesey and Snowdonia. I was really impressed with the amount of activities that were just a short drive away from the cottage. One of the best holidays we have ever had!

Had a fantastic week at this beautiful, cosy, cottage, the owners really go out of their way to ensure your stay is a comfortable and happy one.. The beds are literally the comfiest we’ve ever slept in, added bonus of a hot tub in the lovely back garden, it was a pleasure to come back to after a day out in the cold February air, the multi fuel burner (wood and coal) is really easy to get going and really keeps you toasty. Kitchen is well equipped and we had a fab welcome hamper waiting for us. Highly recommend this place for location, facilities and lovely owners, would definitely stay again! Thank you x

Lovely cottage with everything you need to enjoy your stay, hot tub was amazing.. Fiona couldn't have been more helpful, she even let us know where she bought the duvet and bedding as we've never slept so well! (I bought them as soon as we got home!) The private enclosed garden was ideal for the dog, great base for exploring and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday and a great nights sleep!

Fabulous cottage.. Excellent location so many lovely places to visit. We have been coming to this cottage for the past 3 years and really love it. Will be our 3rd visit this year. We have stayed in other cottages and this is the best one hence why we keep coming back. Peter and Fiona can’t do enough for you and are always on the end of the phone if you need them. The welcome basket is very thoughtful. Decor in the cottage is lovely and the bed is so comfortable very difficult to get out of it. We love the hot tub so relaxing after the beautiful walks. And then finishing off in the cosy lounge with log fire and dvd. Well equipped cottage would highly recommend it. So glad we found it.

We have had a wonderful week in this cottage.. It has a really well equipped kitchen with everything you need and more including an efficient washing machine and dishwasher. Liked that there were lots of extras like DVDs, books, a house for muddy paws and an excellent welcome basket which was really appreciated after a long journey to arrive. We felt really relaxed here. The hot tub is fab and the extra touches like robes were useful. The location is great. You can be at a beach within 20 mins and most places on the island are under 30 mins away. Fiona gave us great advice on places to eat which are dog friendly e.g the crown in aberffraw, and places to visit e.g beaumaris castle. Handy and friendly local shop a minute away on foot. Really peaceful location.

We had a wonderful honeymoon at Bwthyn Megan, beautiful well equipped cottage, very private hot tub in the garden, such a lovely cottage which felt like a home away from home.. The owners were lovely and went far beyond what we expected especially when they found out we had just married. It’s a lovely quiet village in touching distance of everything on Anglesey and in North Wales. We are already looking to book our anniversary here. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon a dream holiday with memories to last a lifetime
Mr Criddle, May 2019
May 2019
This cottage is great.. The owners Fiona and Peter have gone to great lengths to making everything just right. Decor is tasteful and pretty, beds and furniture comfortable, linen and towels wonderful quality. All house fittings high standard. Kitchen alone is worthy of a mention, all matching crockery and everything quality and looks new. Tasteful blue accessories in kitchen including kettle, toaster, microwave etc all in baby blue. The hot tub is an added bonus, easy to use and great. Small rear garden with patio furniture, very secluded with high hedges but still sunny. Would definitely recommend. Lovely quiet area.

April 2019
Fantastic cottage.. As a young family (4yr old and 6 month old) with a lively Labrador this cottage was perfect for us! Everything we could need was there, only thing I would suggest would be a stair gate (although it’s a funny size so may not be possible) and a washer dryer and/or washing Line outside but these are very small things and did not spoil our holiday by not having them. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Not much walkable so an online shop would be recommended but location to explore Anglesey was perfect and we found some gems of restaurants within 15 mins drive, we will be back!
Mrs Jensen, April 2019

The holiday cottage is quite remote but within reach of all the towns & beaches around Anglesey

Bwthyn Megan is a cosy and attractively decorated cottage.. Every thing was extremely comfortable, with fantastic extra amenities such as a hot tub and wood burner, and all the equipment you need for a week away. The owners, Fiona and Peter were really friendly and helpful! We had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others!

February 2019
Fiona and Peter are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble.. I cannot thank them enough for their attentiveness and striving to make everything the best it could be. We had a lovely week in their cosy cottage. The fridge is a great size for storing the weekly shop! The hot tub is a welcome luxury and is unobtrusively maintained on a daily basis. The log fire and cosy fleecy bedding were very welcome. This is a great base for exploring our beloved Anglesey. It was our first holiday with our border collie pup and he settled in so well. We even ended the week with temperatures of 18-20 degrees...in February! Thank you for a wonderful week. I'm sure we'll be back.

This is our 3rd visit to the cottage.. Absolutely love it, home from home and cannot fault it. The cottage is so warm and cosy. Lovely log burner and welcome hamper on arrival. The owners Fiona and Pete go above and beyond to make your stay extra special. The beds are super comfy and the hot tub is amazing! The cottage has everything you need and is so well equipped. This is why we keep returning and our dog loves the cottage too she settles in straight away.

This is a lovely cottage in a great location giving easy access to the entire Isle of Anglesey. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed to cook lovely meals with local produce. In one of the living rooms the wood burner helps create a romantic and cosy atmosphere, the kids can play on their consoles or loose themselves on the net in the other living room as there are TV's in both rooms. The beds are very comfy, so long lazy mornings are very tempting. Outside is the best kept Hot Tub we have ever used the owners take great care with keeping the water quality perfect. We will definitely be back soon.

Fantastic cottage in a brilliant location! Everything about the cottage was to our taste the log burner made the evenings so cosy and the hot tub was that extra special touch! The garden being enclosed also meant we could relax knowing the dog couldn't escape. The owners couldn't do enough to help, even having a welcome basket with milk etc meant you could pop on the kettle and instantly relax. We can't wait to book again! Thank you so much

We stayed in this beautiful cottage for my 30th birthday. Fiona was fantastic, making sure every last detail was perfect for our stay. Even down to the lovely little treats left in the hamper for or weekend. The location is close to the Newborough forest and beach area so perfect for walks with your doggie. After a long walk we were able to relax in the spacious hot tub, and just to top it off we were provided his and hers fresh new robes/dressing gowns so that we weren’t cold going to and from the tub! The cottage had a log burner with plenty of logs, comfy sofas and really comfy beds! The festive touches that they did to the cottage were much appreciated. Just a perfect stay, will define you be returning and can highly recommend! One more thing that stood out so much more for us was how much Fiona and Peter went above and beyond when we noticed my birthday present was missing when we returned home, they looked all over for this tiny bracelet even the packaging from the bin. They eventually found it down the side of the arm chair and we could not be more grateful! The gift was returned to us posted by Fiona with signed delivery and arrived safely back home. Just one more reason why this cottage and the owners running it are so amazing. Book this cottage and you will not regret it! :)

My daughter and myself booked the cottage in April.. We loved it so much we decided to book it again for October. The cottage is like home from home. The owners welcome you with a hamper, nothing is too much trouble for them, and you are able to contact them anytime during your stay. The log fire is lovely. We love the hot tub so nice after a walk. The cottage is in an ideal spot for exploring. We are so pleased we found this place and will be returning next year. We would highly recommend this cottage.

The owners were extremely helpful, making sure someone was there to greet us and show us round.. They also provided a nice welcome pack of treats and checked we were ok via text during our stay. They even set the log burner up so that it was ready to be lit in case we were cold. The property is extremely well equipped - Dishwasher and washing machine with nice touches such as a teapot and slow cooker. Having two TVs was also great. The rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished and everywhere was spotless. The hot tub was a fantastic added bonus and well serviced and obviously kept extremely clean and hygienic. There are lovely views from the front of the cottage and the post office/shop at the end of the lane just two minutes walk is another great asset too. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

We had a wonderful week away at this cottage. It really has got everything you could need and you’re not short of anything. It’s very well decorated and furnished. The hot tub was a great addition and we all enjoyed it. The owners are brilliant. They call every day to check the hot tub (they don’t disturb though) and have lots of knowledge of the local area. Whilst visiting we enjoyed and would recommend newborough beach, a day at Caernarfon, crabbing at Beaumaris pier (we must have caught about 50 crabs!!!)and meals at the boatman (red wharf bay) and the sea shanty (north of the island). Would definitely recommend to others.

This is a beautiful cottage and an ideal base for exploring Anglesey. The owners are just the most thoughtful I've ever experienced! There's everything you need from lu roll to a bottle opener, pizza cutter, a maiden, iron, hairdryer and more... they have literally thought of everything! The hot tub is heaven after a day entertaining a lively hound! We stayed for a week in June and the weather so far has been glorious. We used the cottage as a base for revisiting childhood memories and visiting friends and family on the island. I'd highly recommend an online Asda delivery on the day of arrival, less to bring with you and only comes from the local store in llangefni. Especially in the hot weather. It's 10 to 30 mins to a beach depending on your needs. Newborough beach and the forest offers something for everyone.....our dog is thoroughly enjoying his stay here! Can't recommend this place enough, and I'm certain we will be back. Thankyou Lucy/Fiona.
Mrs Hulme, July 2018
June 2018
The cottage is in a quiet setting with just a corner shop/post office within walking distance.. Cows in the front, horses at the back. It's an ideal base for exploring the beautiful island of Anglesey. We went for a week of reliving childhood memories, exploring with our dog and catching up with relatives on the island. The owners were exceptionally welcoming friendly and helpful. The cottage has everything you need and was very homely with the fab hot tub as a luxury extra. Newborough beach and forest were our favourite only 10 mins away by car. I would recommend an Asda/Tesco delivery on the day of arrival if you intend to eat in mostly and make pack lunches for when out plus it saves space whole travelling and comes from the local store on the island. We will be back and we would stay in the cottage again. Truely enjoyable, relaxing week blessed with blue sunny skies.

Lovely cottage, ideal location We've just had a week here.. Contact with Fiona beforehand with lots of tips and met on arrival by Peter and Lucy. Lovely, friendly family, nothing too much trouble. Ideal location for anywhere on island. Would highly recommend and even return.

We have just had a fantastic week here! Perfect cottage-all home from home comforts. Amazing hot tub in very private spot. Great location, everywhere in easy driving distance. Little handy shop at the end of the street for newspapers and groceries. We explored the whole island from here-lots of pristine beaches and spectacular views to be had! Highly recommended!!

This is a really lovely property, with everything you need for a cosy family break.. Good location for exploring!
Mrs Williams, March 2018
March 2018
Everything was fantastic especially the personal touch by the owners like lighting the log fire on arrival and being available in case we had problems or questions.. It was basically home from home but with a hot tub. My only criticism is that new pans are needed and I would encourage the owners to get some stainless steel ones as non stick and ceramic coated ones don’t get the care they require. The cottage is in a great location for getting around by car. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Mrs Jobanputra, March 2018

The main bedroom really needs a blackout blind or curtains as the street light is very bright and it is like daylight in the bedroom at night.. A larger supply of logs or coal would have been nice

Quiet rural location. Good base for exploring the area (car needed). Well equipped cottage with good quality fixture and fittings. Special mention for the welcome hamper, log burner and hot tub. Contact with owner before and during our stay was excellent, with nothing too much trouble. Off road parking with a shop/post office 1 min walk. Very dog friendly (without any doggy smells). Would highly recommend.

We have stayed in Anglesey many times in different cottages and this has been far our favourite cottage!!! The log fire was lovely and combined with the heating we where so warm. Hot tub is great and on a clear night can see all the stars. Both gardens are secure for dogs our 2 loved it. Cottage was very clean and the kitchen had everything you could ever need. Fiona is lovely and had left us a little welcome package and a roaring fire. Would recommend to everyone it is so lovely and cosy. We will be back!!!!

November 2017
The owner met us there on arrival and had already lit the fire to make sure we got a very warm welcome! The owners had also prepared us a welcome hamper full of delicious treats and had laid out some leaflets of what was going on in the area that week. The hot tub was amazing - my husband and son couldn’t get enough of it! We had fleecy sheets on the bed so this made it even more cosy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for the week and the cottage was cleaned to a very high standard. The area was very peaceful (we didn’t hear any renovation work!) and was well placed for us to explore the whole of Anglesey. We loved this cottage - it really was perfect and we would stay again. The owner was lovely and couldn’t do enough to make sure we were comfortable. There’s a good selection of DVDs and we were hugely grateful for the tv in the dining room... it worked so well for us having a 10 year old with us... it stopped the usual family rows over what to watch! Thanks again for a lovely week - we definitely hope to go back next summer!

October 2017
The owner greeted us on arrival & had lit a fire. It's a small cottage buy has everything you need. The next morning we found the cottage freezing & had no hot water after investigating we found the boiler had been switched off. Once turned back on the cottage was lovely & warm. The bed was very comfortable however for me the TV in the dinning area isn't need & would be better in the bedroom. It's so close to the sofa that it makes your eyes hurt watching it. A TV in the bedroom while you cuddle up after along day walking would be much better in my opinion. The hot tub was fantastic & much needed after along day walking. Added bonus of a shop just up the road plus a friendly pub the Holland arms 3 miles down the road. Who made us vegetarian food that wasn't on the menu plus sold amazing Welsh bitter. Only downside to our stay was the neighbours were having renovation works which woke us up at 8am each day & went on until 6pm. Obviously not the fault of the owners but it wasn't the peaceful week we needed. If you are in to walking then this place is the place to stay as there are beautiful places right on your doorstep.

Just had a week here, cottage is lovely and cosy, with log burner and also central heating. Fully equipped new kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher. Bedrooms are lovely, very comfy beds, double in one bedroom and 2 singles in the other. Upstairs bathroom is great, shower is excellent and there’s also a handy downstairs loo too. Outside is very private with nice small garden. Here you’ll find the hot-tub. Great bit of kit to chill out and relax in, any weather, it’s always 39/40 degrees. Shop on the corner quite handy if you start getting low on logs snacks beer etc Cottage is a few mile from Newborough Beach (£4 to get access to beach car park but well worth it) have a walk to Llanddwyn Island, absolutely stunning, loads of little coves and small beaches. If your into your mountains, Snowdonia is a fantastic playground only half hour or so drive away, depends on what peak your going up. All in all, cottage is great, in a brill location to use as a base for day trips out. The owner is lovely and kept in touch with us making sure everything was ok and I would highly recommend this holiday home

We have had an amazing week in this beautiful cottage. This is the nicest cottage we have stayed in. We were greeted by Fiona when we arrived, such a lovely lady, she recommended places to go and places to eat, before leaving us she said if we needed anything to call her, nothing was to much trouble. We were also welcomed with a hamper of goodies ( lovely touch ). The cottage was supplied with so much, woodburner (wood and coal to start us off for a couple of days), two televisions which both had dvd players, Dvds, radio, washing machine, microwave, toaster, slow cooker, towels. Outside was a hot tub (with robes),BBQ, patio area, the list goes on. I could have stayed more than a week in this lovely cottage. Anglesey is lovely too, we have walked 40 miles in total and still many more miles to walk. This weeks holiday has given us some wonderful memories. A huge thank you to Fiona (Proprietor) who has helped to make these wonderful memories.

Just come back from a truly delightful week in this lovely stone cottage. The cottage is well situated on the Island with easy access to most places. Inside the cottage it really is home from home. The nice leather sofas are cumfy, the log burner was easy to control and the fireplace looked the part. All home comforts have been well thought out by Fiona the owner. From the dressing gowns for the hot tub to the logs for the burner to dvd's for rainy days. We tend not to visit many places more than once but we will make a exception with this cottage. Thanks Fiona we loved it.

From the friendly welcome from Fiona to the last lock-up, this was a wonderful relaxing holiday. Comfortably furnished to a very high standard, it is obvious that a lot of thought has gone into making this a perfect getaway. The box of goodies was very much appreicated, and what could be better on a wet afternoon than a log burner, a (very) large glass of wine and a good book? The hot tub was also great to relax in (with another glass of wine, naturally) after a day spent exploring this very pretty, peaceful island. My sister and myself both returned home feeling relaxed, refreshed and revitalised!

My partner and I booked Carreg Ryhs for an early January stay to beat the winter blues. We have stayed before and knew what to expect - a relaxing and cosy break. We took our dog again who always has such a big fuss made of her by the owners Fiona and Pete. Their dogs had just had a litter of puppies so also had some much needed pet therapy. There was a problem with the hot tub so the owners offered to let us stay at Bwthyn Megan as the previous guests had just vacated. This is the sister cottage just up the road which also had tub. Very impressed with both cottages which are finished to a high standard. Very Laura Ashley. Fiona and Pete couldn't do enough for us and it was lovely to meet them again. They really do take pride in their work. Arriving to a roaring log fire is a nice touch and provides a lovely welcome. Sad to be home now, we will be returning.

Everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break on anglesey! This beautifully furnished property had everything we want from a holiday let. Cosy beds with quality bedding, a well equipped kitchen and the cutest living room complete with wood burner and candles to create the perfect atmosphere to relax in! Outside there was an enclosed garden (handy for four legged friends and children) a rustic patio area and a fantastic hot tub, a must following our climb up Snowdon! There is a post office and shop at the end of the road, handy! There is also great fish and chips in the next village (Gaerwen) and a fantastic pub serving outstanding food with stunning views over the Snowdon range. The cottage also sits on a cycle route and they provide storage for bikes. The owners couldn't have been more accommodating. This is a super little cottage and we can't wait to return!

Beautiful well maintained cottage with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay.. Owners made you feel really welcome and soon fixed the problem when the gas ran out. Furnishings and decoration to a high standard. Lovely and peaceful but within easy access to stunning beaches and scenery and mainland Wales. Highlt recommended.

Just returned from a week at bwthyn Megan it was a beautiful little cottage with everything you could need, the owners Fiona & Peter were so welcoming & friendly nothing was too much trouble for them.. The cottage came with so many little extras like a welcoming hamper full of goodies, his & her dressing gowns. Anglesey is a beautiful place to visit & the the cottage location is close to north wales so plenty of places to visit, Anglesey has some beautiful beaches . Will definitely be going back next year with the grandaughters as they will love hot tub. This really is a charming little cottage with a touch of luxury, can't wait to return.

Fiona, the owner of the cottage went out of her way to ensure we had a relaxing holiday - as much as you can with an 18 month old.. We were greeted warmly and with a lovely basket of goodies to get the holiday started. The cottage itself is cosy, beautifully furnished, ideal for a small family, particularly the enclosed garden. The added bonus to the garden is the hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The location is great for exploring Anglesey, only a couple of miles from the beautiful beach of Newborough and easily accessible for the Menai Bridge and Beaumaris. There is plenty for children too, Foel farm is a great day and Greenwood forest Park. We would most definitely return.

Gorgeous home for our family holiday. Owners couldn't be more helpful but were unobtrusive. House finished to a stunning standard with lots of lovely little extra touches showing real care and attention. Great base for some of the best family days out we have had, can't recommend Anglesey highly enough for a relaxing family break. Cottage very close to local amenities but felt so peaceful, kids loves to cows in the field opposite. We can't wait to book again for our next family break.

Fabulous hosts who made themselves available if we needed anything.. However, this was not necessary as they had thought of everything when equipping the holiday cottage. Extras included a lovely a lovely little welcome hamper and also provided were some basic foodstuffs. Lovely thick fluffy towels provided. etc etc. Spotlessly clean accommodation and a great homely base for your holiday = but would not recommend for anyone with mobility problems due to the steep narrow staircase.

Set in a quiet and tranquil setting Bwthyn Megan is a romantic little gem! Beautifully decorated and comfortable, I couldn't add to it if it was my own home. The separate lounge with log fire and both living areas equipped with large flatscreen TVs, sweet little garden with hot tub and large kitchen, separate downstairs toilet and even washer in storage room allows enough space for two couples or a small family to enjoy their holiday together and still enjoy privacy. Only 3 miles from beautiful Newborough beach with beautiful sandy beaches with nature trails and dedicated and running as well as cycle routes, Bwthyn Megan is a lovely natures/activity lovers breakaway. Still, we had 5 days of bad weather and were happy and snug just staying in!
