We've just returned from a week's holiday in this property, and we didn't want to come home!! It was gorgeous, peaceful and quiet, and the owners Patsy and Roger are lovely people - very kind, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the local area. The whole area is dog friendly, so it was perfect for us!! Fabulous views peaceful surroundings and plenty to do. We'll be going back as soon as we can afford it!!

We loved the peace and the privacy of the property, the lovely garden and the amount of light were fantastic.. We found the double bed tiny for a couple (we are small in height and weight) and unfortunately the cleaning approximate, especially under and around rugs we accidentally touched, under the pillows in the seating area in the kitchen. Also an ant treatment is recommended as they appeared very frequently, even just with a cup of tea - no food! -by the kitchen window. The pump for the water in the kitchen is extremely noisy and every time anyone uses any water, like the loo at night time, it goes off - it would be good to place it outside or to put some sound insulation in the cupboard. A minor suggestion on the info pack: it was overall useful, we personally found unfriendly the amount of details and tone of the instructions (on how to deal with garbage for instance) and did not make us feel welcome. We often rent cottages in Cornwall and most people recycle and are happy to help! Hope these can help

We have just returned from a very relaxing weeks stay at Brunnion House. The location is amazing , beautiful views of the landscape, excellent walk to the top of Trencom Hill , no noise so slept extremely well, gardens front and rear and a field available to exercise our dog if needed, yet only a 10 min drive to the centre of St Ives or in the other direction Penzance and St Michael’s Mount. We loved the cottage , huge comfy lounge with log fire ( it wasn’t needed as the heating was ample ) but seeing as it is January it made it feel really cosy with it lit in the evenings. Beds really comfortable, bedding and towels included in the price. The kitchen had everything you need, we especially appreciated a caffettiera , I do like my ground coffee. The owners are very friendly without being too overbearing or in your face, but are close by if you do need them. Ideally you will need a car to get here and around the sights but there is ample parking on site.

Four of us came to Brunnion House for a couple of nights, pre-Christmas.. We'd come a long way and for a family funeral, so not the best of times for us personally. However, our stay at the cottage completely lifted our spirits and the house provided somewhere comfortable and very pleasant as a base. We'd like to express our thanks to Patsy and Roger for the all-too-brief time we had there. You made us so very welcome and looked after our every need. It was also very nice to get to know you a little bit. I'm bookmarking your place for a future stay when we're in west Cornwall visiting again as a family. It's a superb home in a gorgeous setting; I feel we've discovered a little gem.

Could be a beautiful cottage but could have been a lot cleaner and the whole place was smelling of damp.. Left clothes in suitcase because draws were smelling of damp. Car needed as it is way off the main roads along very narrow country lanes

We really enjoyed our stay at Brunnion House with our 2 sons (1 and 3 yo). When we first arrived our reaction literally was: oh no, we only booked for one week! From the outside the house looks stunning with a beautiful and fairly large front and back garden. From the inside the house was very comfortable, family (baby) friendly and with loads of places to enjoy the view of the countryside and relax and read a book. The location worked really well for us as well. Everything was within a 10 to 20 minute drive away. From the beaches of St Ives to St Michaels Mount. Even Lands End is at an OK distance at about a 30 min drive (which is about the max. our children want to sit in the car at the moment). On top of that the owners were really nice and welcoming as well. Although when we arrived they themselves were enjoying a holiday abroad, everything was taken care of: from the advance notices to the welcoming letter and the 'welcome to our house present'. We would definitely want to stay here again, and longer then just one week ;-) !

Everything we (a family of four with two young children) needed or could wish for, was there: a babybath, a cot, lots of room upstairs to play and crawl, a washing machine and dishwasher and lovely gardens.. All the must see sights are within a thirty minutes drive from the cottage, which was perfect for us. Although the weather wasn't that great, we had a wonderful time at Brunnion House. Patsy and Roger really made us feel welcome and the occasional fox and pheasant were lovely surprises.

We received a lovely warm welcome from the owners who live on site and so are available to help but who will leave you in peace to enjoy this beautiful cottage, We stayed with our teenage girls and two small dogs and had a fantastic time, The cottage is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. A great base for exploring around St Ives, Penzance and Lands End. We loved the beach at Carbis Bay. Lots of dog friendly pubs close by - we loved the Watermill Couldnt recomend more highly.

We were given a lovely warm welcome from the owners who live close by and are on hand to help with anything but give you plenty of space and privacy.. The cottage was beautiful, very clean and really well equipped - one of the best we have ever stayed in. We took our two little dogs who loved it here. There are plenty of dog friendly pubs close by and St Ives is only a 10 minute drive away. We couldn't recommend more highly.
