This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Brinks view and can highly recommend. The cottage is spotlessly clean ,everything you might possibly need and tastefully decorated .There are one or two thoughtful extras and an excellent welcome pack . The owners have a lovely doggy who pops round to visit and our dog enjoyed the garden and the walks .Such a peaceful relaxing place to stay .thankyou we enjoyed it so much

Brinks View is a ideal place to just park the car, leave it for the week and go walking, cycling, and having wonderful food at local pubs..

Brinks View Cottage is quiet, comfortable, well equipped and immaculately clean.. The owners, who live adjacent to the cottage, are welcoming and helpful. The location, for anyone who enjoys walking, is ideal, with lots of walks from the door or from start points within 30 minutes drive. The area offers beautiful scenery with extensive, panoramic views from the higher ground. The cottage is very conveniently located within the village for shops, pubs and the other amenities on offer. Highly recommended.

Really great cottage in the heart of the village of Hope.. Extremely clean and comfortable. Very welcoming owners who went out of their way to ensure a great holiday. I would thoroughly recommend and we will be returning in 2021.

Cottage was lovely, had everything we needed and more, the welcome basket of goodies was also superb.. To be able to have off road parking, secure bike storage and an outside area to sit and enjoy the sunshine was an absolute delight. We will be coming back, just need to find a time when the cottage is free and we can get back to Derbyshire.

The cottage is very nice, clean and bigger than expected.. Has everything you need and more! The hosts are a lovely couple who live right next to the cottage. We had a welcome basket with some local food items and wine which was a pleasant surprise. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area. Nice walks and hiking around.

This cottage was the perfect getaway. We only stayed for 3 nights but it was a home away from home. Andy and Sarah (and Ellie the black lab!) were so lovely and accommodating, we will be back and staying longer next time! Pic of us leaving

This remains to be the best holiday cottage I have stayed in.. Very clean, extremely well equipped (there was nothing I needed and we made full use of the kitchen/cooking facilities) , lovely welcome basket, comfortable and cosy. Friendly and pleasant owners. Fantastic location in a beautiful village and surrounded by stunning countryside with numerous walking options. Whilst I am happy to let the owners know, and to help their business by encouraging others to visit, I am also hesitant a little as I don't want them to be so fully booked up that I can't get booked in the next time I want to visit!

Brinks View Cottage is a gem! The owners Sarah and Andrew know exactly how to present the property. It is always spotless, and provides everything that one could wish for in a holiday cottage. They are so thoughtful and kind. It spoils you for any other holiday property. One can only be disappointed going to a different property. The number of return visitors shows how much people appreciate all that is on offer here.

Great cottage, far better than pictures show.. Very clean and well thought out. Everything is there ready to go, things to wash up with etc. The welcome pack was a pleasant surprise- could relax with a cup of tea and a biscuit before heading out to the shops. Great with a dog- lovely garden to roam about in. One of the best self catering properties I’ve ever stayed in.

September 2018
It's a quiet cottage - apart from the donkey and the cockerel! - well furnished and very well equipped and comfortable. The owners, Andy and Sarah, who share their access and garden with the cottage - are very welcoming and warm. It was very special to have interaction with local people and is highly valued. On the last Sykes holiday we took in July we didn't talk to anyone in the village and we might as well have been somewhere where we didn't speak the language and no-one spoke English!
Mrs Klotschkow

The cottage has everything and more to have a great holiday

September 2018
Stayed here in September 2018 for long weekend.. Beautiful cosy cottage, with a well eqiupped kitchen, which included a welcome pack. Owners live next door, extremely lovely people, with nothing too much trouble, they are truly there to help you. Shops, cafes and local pubs all within few minutes walk. This cottage is an ideal base to walk and sightsee around the Hope Valley area. You must book a stay here, you will not be disappointed.
Mrs Jackson
August 2018
This is probably the best equipped and cleanest holiday home I have stayed in.. The picture of the outside does not do it justice. The owner is a keen gardener and visitors have access to use the beautiful garden, which has lovely views. We felt like it was a home from home and wanted for absolutely nothing, in fact as I went around the property, I was looking to see if I could find anything missed out that I might need. The only thing I could come up with that would be useful, was a slotted serving spoon! It really was that spot on, that this is all I could come up with.

The owners,Andy and Sarah, are very friendly and welcoming and there were basics provided such as bread, milk, ice in the freezer.. they frequently asked us if there was anything else we needed. the house is very comfortable indeed and the garden is lovely. with the weather being so good, we sat at the garden table and chairs at some part of every day. all together a very relaxing break . overall comment - excellent!

If you seek a comfortable, well equipped cottage in the centre of a pretty Peak village then this is for you.. Great for walking, dog friendly pubs and helpful owners.

April 2018
Wow. This cottage exceeded my expectations.. It is immaculately clean. Has so many extras provided. Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquids, tea towels, hand wash in the kitchen and utility room, washing capsules for washing machine. Full size toiletries in the bathroom. A welcome pack sits in the kitchen upon arrival, with bread, honey, biscuits, wine and chocolates. There is butter and milk in the fridge. As well as tea, coffee and sugar (not just little sachets). The garden is beautiful and we were fortunate enough to have good weather and were able to sit out, including having breakfast outdoors. There is a shed for keeping bikes in if you take them. The village of Hope has everything you require. A SPAR open till late and a few other little shops. There are a few lovely pubs which also sell food and an Indian restauraunt/take away as well as a Chinese. The slightly bigger village of Castleton is only a mile away and in daylight can be walked to by a path/field or alternately along the path at the side of the road. The whole area is perfect for walking or cycling and the cottage has maps which can be made use of. Alternately, Andy and Sarah (who own the cottage and live nextdoor, along with their friendly labrador) can give advise and directions. Wonderful short break had Friday - Monday. But also perfect for a longer stay.
Mrs Bugg
April 2018
Lovely cottage was warm and cosy, immaculate, spacious with a great drying room.. We had access to their lovely long spacious garden with a steam along side it (with access via a gate), even donkeys and of course sheep behind the garden. No noise problems throughout our stay. Lovely polite friendly owners with their beautiful friendly dog Ellie. We travelled by train so was able to drop our bags off before check in which was much appreciated didn't want or need for anything more but felt owners would be extremely helpful if i did. Their welcome basket was very welcoming felt spoilt with their extra touches, thank you. Location is suberb for exploring hope and local areas we went for the walks and scenery which we had plenty of. So much choice for food and drinks as there was pubs, cafes, takeouts, grocers, butchers, baker's,and spar shop all within few minutes walk. Would love to return as still more to explore and would recommend brinks view cottage

April 2018
A real home from home.. The cottage was warm and comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches that made our stay highly enjoyable. The local maps / walk books were really useful and the DVD choice was excellent for our evening entertainment. Fantastic setting - walks from the door, plenty of food choices. Excellent. The owners were helpful and friendly.

March 2018
We were very impressed with the standard of accommodation and nice touches like the welcome goodies.. The cottage was lovely and conveniently located near a nice deli shop, coffee shops and pubs. Sarah and Andrew were very hospitable and they go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We also loved the occasional little visits from Ellie the Labrador. We highly recommend this cottage.

February 2018
A wonderful, cosy, 2 bedroomed cottage in the heart of Hope in the peak district. Everything you could possibly want and more. Immaculately clean, beautifully presented with magnificent views from the bedroom and garden over open hills. My only regret about our visit is that it was only for a long weekend, and not longer! Fantastic property for walking, cycling and exploring in the Peak District or just a superbly relaxing break. Spacious 'boot /utility room' meant snowy boots and wet coats can be left to dry if needed. The welcome basket of local 'treats' and a beautiful bottle of wine, along with toiletries in the bathroom were gratefully received. Dogs are welcome, but there was no 'doggy' odour for non dog lovers. I would have thought we were the first visitors if it hadn't been for the visitors book! We shall certainly be visiting again very soon!
Mrs Haywood
February 2018
Loved this place! it had everything you could possibly need, washing machine and dryer after muddy walks, dishwasher, a handy utility for cleaning the dog, the house was always nice and warm, os maps to help plan your walks, and lots of walks from the door, lose hill, win hill, mam tor etc and Castleton is a nice easy 45 min walk across the back fields. The house is on the main road In Hope, but set back behind the owners home so the only views you have are beautiful countryside, I didn't want to leave!
Mr Woodhead
February 2018
Absolutely perfect! A beautiful cottage in the middle of the village. Immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, it has everything you need for a wonderful holiday. The welcome package of wine, chocolates, milk, bread etc was very gratefully received. My only regret was that we only booked for weekend! We could have happily stayed for a week or more. The spacious utility room is perfect for getting rid of muddy boots and wet coats after a walk in the Peak District, and the cottage is right in the middle of excellent walking countryside. The views from the main bedroom window look over open countryside with sheep and donkeys in the field at the back of the house. Again - absolutely perfect for a long or short stay - I can't wait for our next visit!

February 2018
This is a wonderful cottage - cosy and yet spacious, great cooker, well kitted out, cosy wood-burner, although not needed in the lovely warm house (we stayed in February).. Very well laid out with warm drying room as you enter. Great lighting, with a standard lamp to read by and comfortable bed. Owners very hospitable, and generous with supplies and treats. Great location - recommend a walk from the door up Win Hill as well as short drive to Lady Bower and Kinder Scout. We hope to be back.

The location was a perfect position for exploring the area and a nice quiet base to come back to after a busy day. The cottage was comfortable and very well equipped and we felt very at home there. The owners were very helpful and welcoming.

The Cottage was very clean, well furnished and well equipped with kitchen items, laundry facilities, bed and bath linen and comfortable furniture in the lounge/diner. Parking space too was really appreciated and the garden and scenery was nice too.

A spotless, immaculate and very comfortable Cottage. The owners were welcoming and helpful. There is a beautiful garden and the property is in a great location.

May 2016
The cottage far exceeded expectations in every way. The location was fabulous - in a little village but with enough amenities such as pubs, cafes, a deli and grocery store. The cottage was very well equipped and there was nothing we needed during the week. It was by far the best equipped and cleanest cottage, with a lovely garden with magnificent views too. The owners who live next door are lovely people, very helpful but not at all intrusive. I would have no doubts recommending this cottage and we are already planning to return. The pictures do not do the cottage justice in my opinion, it is far better in real life.

May 2016
We booked this cottage having visited Hope some many many years ago. We were originally going to stay in Castleton but decided that Hope would better suit us as it's quieter. The cottage far exceeded our expectations and it's safe to say that the pictures truly do not do it justice, it is lovely inside. It has a fantastic utility room which is very roomy and warm so would be ideal for drying or storing wet gear, it's also fab for cleaning up the dog before she goes into the house! The kitchen is great, very well equipped with a full size freezer and everything you could need. Lovely lounge and dining area, cosy but perfectly adequate. Upstairs has a couple of bedrooms, size wise absolutely fine and a big bathroom. The garden is shared with the owners and their dog but its fully secure and they are a really helpful couple with Ellie the black lab often coming to say hello. We were left a welcome pack which was unexpected but very welcome, unusual to get this when going through a large company like Sykes but just another thoughtful touch from the owners. You can tell from the cleanliness and quality of this cottage that it's not just a holiday let but done with care and consideration. We spent a lot of time in the cottage which is unusual as we had a poorly dog and thank god we booked this cottage as it had wifi and was just down the road from the village with shops, pub and cafe. I have no hesitation recommending Brinks View and we will be returning as soon as we can.

April 2016
Brinks View Cottage is beautiful and a really great place to come back to after a day in the hills. The garden is fantastic and offers wonderful views. The owner and their lovely dog share the fully enclosed garden, but they are basically friendly neighbors and are great for local info. The area has loads of easily accessible walks and there are maps provided in the cottage. A cottage that has it all.
Mr Sully
February 2016
Returned to Brinks View Cottage, as we were so impressed first time round with standard of accommodation and the welcome from our hosts. Great location for exploring the Peak District. Dog friendly.
Mrs Cissell
January 2016
This cottage is a real gem and one of the best we have stayed in. The cottage is much bigger than any of the pictures show and finished to a high standard. The cottage was immaculately clean and the utility room is warm and spacious to allow any wet clothing to dry. The owners were very friendly and welcoming without being intrusive, and the location is quiet and perfect with are lots of walks close to the house so you don't have to take a car.
Ms Beaven
November 2015
The cottage was beautifully presented, a lot of thought had gone into this. Everything that could be needed had been supplied. It was warm and comfortable. The owners, who live in the attached property were very kind and pleasant people, but not intrusive in any way. I can thoroughly recommend this cottage.

November 2015
We stayed here for 3 nights, we decided upon the cottage after having great difficulty finding dog friendly accommodation in nearby Castleton. To our absolute pleasure we discovered a little gem. Andrew and Sarah have made an outstanding job of renovating this cottage to a very high standard. The attention to detail is exceptional, from the pre prepared log burner , to pizza utensils, and tissues in the bedrooms. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. The village has a couple of traditional dog friendly pubs, serving real ales and great food, we visited the Old Hall hotel, which was lovely. Hope is a less touristy , quieter village than Catleton, however, it offers an attractive alternative location for the likes of Lady Bower / Derwent water and for Mam Tor. The dog had a fabulous and welcoming time. Don't be seduced by Castleton, this place is absolutely lovely ! We will be returning
Mr Sully
October 2015
A warm welcome and friendly and helpful hosts. Standard of accommodation was excellent throughout and we felt immediately comfortable. Great location for amenities and walks. We will come back again.

September 2015
The Cottage is very clean, nicely decorated and exceptionally well-equipped. We have stayed in many cottages around the UK but rarely as good as this. On top of that it is located in a lovely village with local shops and a choice of good places to eat within easy walking distance. A lovely place from which to explore the Peak District, whether walking, cycling or touring by car.

Where do I start? The cottage was perfect, in a great location and with everything we could have possibly needed. The owners are a lovely couple and were always on hand to assist us. Their local knowledge was excellent and came in very handy. I would highly recommend this cottage to everybody and we will definitely be back!

June 2015
Brinks View Cottage is a newly refurbished cottage, the inside decoration, cleanliness, and facilities were to an exceptionally high standard. The owners were very friendly and accessible to answer any questions we had. The location is perfect for exploring the many walks and outdoor activities in the local area. We stayed at the end of May, however the evenings were a bit cool for the time of the year so we all enjoyed sitting around the wood burner in the living room in the evenings. What an excellent holiday cottage, we will be returning and would have no concerns recommending Brinks View Cottage to family and friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very well equipped and stylish cottage. Especially loved the large kitchen and utility room which was so useful when coming in with muddy boots and dog. The owners were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. They have certainly made the cottage feel so spacious and comfortable. Will definitely be visiting again and will be recommending to all our friends.

The cottage was very beautiful and the owners could not have been more welcoming. We had a wonderful holiday and this was largely due to the fabulous accommodation. Nothing had been overlooked and our every comfort and convenience was catered for.
