The cottage was lovely, it was clean, tidy and very comfortable.. The only thing it needs is a hand rail in the shower. Lovely couple who own it as well. Would recommend.

I found that the settees were very low for us to sit in, alright if you are a sprightly youngster but we are not .. We could not get the heated towel rail to work so we had to use damp towels to dry with. The only comfortable thing in the cottage was the bed. Because of these things we left on Wednesday instead of staying until Friday.

We had a wonderful stay in Brindle Cottage.. It spotlessly clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed. It is in a rural area, yet only 10 minutes drive to the busy town of Swindon and less than 5 minutes drive to Royal Wooten Basset. I would highly recommend this property.

While the property listings mention the M4 being across 3 fields with the chance of noise, there was no mention of the road 40 feet from the front door with traffic 24/7 varying from a couple of cars a hour to around 150 cars an hour at peak times.. The 2 week holiday was spoilt by the neighbouring properties residents being rude and threatening to my wife and pet dog Monty, because he had the nerve to bark. We do not go on holiday to have people in an adjoining property bumping and banging around because they rented the cottage to work in the area. This has been brought to the attention of the owners and Sykes Cottages. Spoilt what was a brilliant holiday. Hope the next occupants dont have the same problem.

This is a really nice cottage which was in an ideal location for us to visit the attractions we wanted to see.. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed to make it comfortable to return to after a long day out. The cottage is located about 2 miles from the nearest town but there was a nice front lawn where we could relax with a drink in the evenings. Would definitely recommend

From the friendly phone call to check what we needed before we left, to the little extras like milk in the fridge and treats for the dog this is the perfect place for a stress free break. The cottage is clean and comfortable and a hop skip jump from the lovely lydiard park.. just heavenly.. the owners are easily available should you need them, but otherwise leave you in peace.. heavenly..

We badly needed a quiet peaceful stress free break.. . and that's exactly what we got. The little extras in the spotless cottage were most welcome, there is a lovely lead free dog walking park 2 mins walk away, loads of information on places to visit. We were left in peace, but knew how to get hold of our hosts should we need to, we didn't. I'd forgotten the dogs bowls.. no worries they were provided! As were treats, dog towels and a dog blanket, milk and eggs and even some apples from the garden.. the beds were very comfortable too.. just perfect! Already told all my friends!

This is a thoughtfully, well equipped, very comfortable and clean cottage with thoughtful extras. Would definitely stay again. Loved it! Helpful owners who are unintrusive but available if needed. We found it great base to tour surrounding area. A variety of supermarkets a few minutes drive away. We enjoyed a barge trip from Bath, tree top adventure just down the road at Lydiard Country Park, there's plenty of restaurants around, our favourite was Hongxin Oriental Buffet Swindon (c15 mins). Would recommend.

A lovely place to stay , although cottage was part of a working farm we expected it to be a bit noisy and smelly , but NO very little animal noise and no smells at all .. A great place for us as we were visiting family and this was central to them all , will hope to use cottage a lot in the future , highly recommend .

Brindle Cottage was very clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped.. It is very easily accessible from the M4 and in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds as well as the North Downs. Whilst we had no need for anything from the owners, we did speak a couple of times and I am sure that had any needs arisen, they would have only been more than happy to help. Very good value cottage.

This is the 3rd time we have returned to Brindle Cottage with our westie Shannon, we love going there as there is plenty to see and do.. I have recommended the cottages to 2 more of my friends before and since we have returned, we will try and get back there again this year if work commitments allow.

Brindle Cottage was exactly what we wanted - safe, comfortable, rural accommodation. Nothing too fancy or over the top, just the basics for an enjoyable stay and being able to wash clothes was great. It was the perfect address for the places we wanted to visit. The starter pack was appreciated. We really enjoyed Brindle Cottage.
